9 Summary: Celebrations & Challenges Celebrations MCPS Raised average ACT score a full point, from 18.6 to 19.6, double the increase for the state average ACT score. MCPS raised overall composite from a 1 in to a level 5 in MCPS received a level 5 in Numeracy in TVAAS in (was 3 in ). MCPS outperformed state in English III and US History on EOC exams. MCPS performed as well as the state average in Algebra II, Biology, and HS science (within 1 percentage point). MCPS has a greater percentage of students hitting math CCR benchmark than the state. More than 32% increase in number of students hitting all 4 CCR benchmarks in , compared to previous year. More than 9% point gain in number of students eligible for HOPE scholarship, representing an additional $176,000 and total eligibility in of $1.08 million dollars.
