3 2.1 Luminaire Mounting Disconnect power to fixture location For Hook Mounting, Proceed to Section For Pendant, Ceiling, Wall or Stanchion Mounting, Loosen closure screw and open ballast housing Disconnect and tag wire connections between cover and ballast housing Unhinge cover and set aside Proceed to appropriate mounting section Universal Mount (See Figure 3) for Pendant Mount, Remove ¾-14 NPT plug, proceed to Section for Ceiling Mount, Remove one or both NPT plugs as required for application. Proceed to Section for Wall Mount, Remove NPT plug from cover. Attach Mounting Bracket to cover with provided 2X 5/16-18 stainless steel screws. (The screws are located inside the mounting bracket.) Proceed to Section for Stanchion Mount, Remove NPT plug from cover. Remove NPT plug on Mounting Bracket. Attach Mounting Bracket to cover with provided 2X 5/16-18 stainless steel screws. (The screws are located inside the mounting bracket.) Proceed to Section Pendant Mount (See Figure 2) If necessary, back out the pendant set screw far enough to insure that it will not interfere with the conduit threads If present remove clear dust cover from conduit entry Pull supply wires through conduit entry and thread cover onto conduit at least (3) full turns until secure. Mounting structure shall support the full weight of the luminaire in accordance with local codes Tighten pendant set screw to in-lb Proceed to section Hook Mount (See Figure 5) (NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS) Hang luminaire on a suitable structure that supports the full weight of the luminaire in accordance with local codes Tighten hook screw until the head is flush with the hook or screw tip contacts the hook Cords provided by factory are pre-wired to luminaire For cord with plug, insert plug into receptacle Proceed to section Wall Mount (See Figure 6) Remove NPT plugs as needed for supply wire access Attach Mounting Bracket to a suitable mounting structure must be provided that supports the full weight of the luminaire in accordance with local codes Proceed to section Stanchion Mount (See Figure 7) Feed supply wires into 1.5 NPT opening Install mounting bracket onto 1.5 stanchion pipe Rotate cover to desired orientation then tighten (3) stanchion set screws to in-lb Hang ballast housing from cover by engaging at hinge location. See Figure Wiring Figure 8 Pendant Mount Supply Wiring Figure 9 Ceiling Mount Supply Wiring GR1841 GR Ceiling Mount (See Figure 4) Remove NPT plugs as needed for supply wire access A suitable mounting structure must be provided that supports the full weight of the luminaire in accordance with local codes Proceed to section of 5 IM-292-C

4 Figure 10 Wall & Stanchion Mount Supply Wiring 2.3 Lamp Installation Figure 11 Lamp Installation GR Socket Wiring, QL & Electronic HID only For QL, attach red and black coupler wires to generator in same color terminal For Electronic HID, attach white and black socket wires to red and blue ballast wires Supply Wiring For Pendant & Ceiling Mounting, route supply wires as shown in Figures 8 (pendant) & 9 (ceiling) For Stanchion & Wall Mounting, remove mounting bracket cover and feed supply wires into cover. See Figure 3. Re-attach mounting bracket cover with 4 screws provided. Drive screws to in-lb. For Wall or Stanchion see Figure For Universal Mount with Mounting Bracket, remove mounting bracket cover and feed supply wires into cover. See Figure 3. Inside cover, feed wires through round grommet provided and press grommet into the threaded entry hole of the cover. (Round grommet located inside mounting bracket). Re-attach mounting bracket cover with 4 screws provided. Drive screws to in-lb. For Wall or Stanchion see Figure Make appropriate supply connections to the fixture wires in accordance with local codes Connect supply ground wire to ballast housing and cover ground wires Re-connect tagged wires between cover and ballast housing, disconnected in section Restrain supply wires using wire tie provided. See Figures 8, 9 & 10 for corresponding mounting method Close unit, making sure wires are completely inside, and tighten closure screw. Proceed to section 2.3 Lamp Installation. GR Loosen door closure nut. Hold optic and swing door closure nut away from door Lower optic until stable Determine proper lamp type and wattage for HID installation from fixture label and install Close door and swing door closure nut under door Tighten door closure nut until tight and door contacts housing. 3. MAINTENANCE 3.1 Relamping and Cleaning Disconnect power to the fixture location before maintenance Wipe off exterior of unit to remove any dirt or debris that could enter unit while servicing Loosen door closure nut. Hold optic and swing door closure nut away from door Lower optic until stable Remove the lamp Securely install a new lamp. Make sure proper lamp type and wattage are used Wipe off optical assembly. Do not use an abrasive cleaner on glass. Loss of optical performance could result Check the condition of the optical gasket attached to housing. Ensure that no damage exists that could affect seal integrity Close door and swing door closure nut under door Tighten door closure nut until tight and door contacts housing. 3.2 Electrical Component Replacement CONTACT YOUR LOCAL HOLOPHANE REPRESENTATIVE FOR HOLOPHANE APPROVED REPLACEMENT PARTS. 4 of 5 IM-292-C

LIMITED WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY The Holophane limited warranty and limitation of liability (the Warranty ) is published in the Holophane Price Schedules and is available through your local Holophane representative.
