5 Why LED tubes? One of the few standardised LED light type is LED tube: EN standard for double capped LED lamps (tubes) was finalized 12/2014 Valtavalo LED tubes are manufactured according to the standard Retrofit installation gives longer lifetime for old light fixtures & wirings No more heat from LED tube No more UV light from LED tube Electrical current through ballast is minimal with LED tube Long lifespan > less replacements > drastically reduced maintenance costs

6 Two ways of installing LED tubes 1) Retro-Fit installation Easy replacement of old T8 fluorescent tubes and starters in fixtures with magnetic ballast (without local compensating of reactive power) 2) Conversion Kit installation Rewiring of the old fixture with HF ballast (or local compensating capacitors), must be done by a licensed electrician. After modification the old fixture becomes LED tube fixture and has to be labelled.
