The Fire Chief identified the importance of a lighting detection system and the usefulness of such a type of system. The purpose of this discussion is to provide an update on lightning detection systems and costs to the Public Services and Safety Committee for evaluation. 14 Outdoor Alerting System Portal Page The following two slides are an example of the web portal page that allows the users to: 1. Customize hours of operation for each day of the week 2. Customize location by latitude/longitude 3. Customize radius for lightning alerts 4. View system status 5. View countdown clock for the amount of time until an all clear will be issued. 6.
