3 Hytronik delivers high quality ED drivers to the professional lighting industry. With our strong R&D competence, renovative & functional design, rigid manufactuing quality control, we have earned good reputation and wide appreciation in the UK,scandinavia and southen Europe ever since 007. Illustrations of functional features of Hytronik ED drivers Being a member of DAI group, Hytronik has a wide range of DAI drivers covering 0W-0W, -00mA, V/V output. We have added a unique function: manual access to overide DAI by. STD-BY <0.5W Stand-by power consumption (zero-load consumption) is an important factor for the total energy saving, calculated as parasitic power in large installations with lighting controls, such as a DAI system. Using Hytronik can improve your EI! W W W 8W Multiple Wattage Emergency Output To cut the inventory cost, Hytronik emergency ED driver has optional wattages to fit for different jobs,w, W, W and 8W. With optional battery packs supply h, hrs or hrs duration during the emergency. inear dimming curve means the light is dimmed according to wattage: umen always goes in the same pace and proportion to the current, or the wattage. E -T Self-testing Emergency Driver This is the self-test feature for emergency lighting. A built-in MCU programed self-testing (with various patterns of ED flash to indicate the status and failure of the emergency light fitting) makes maintenance free, and saves a lot of money for the end-users. Due to the deviation of EDs, and the size of installation, it is difficult to keep the min. diming level of each driver. A simple solution is to apply potentiometer to adjust the desired min. dimming lever (the starting point) after installation. 80% 0% 0% 0% thermal management Further 0% saving Rotary Switch Grouping In the case of overload, overheat, or poor electrical contact, drivers can get overheated. Instead of shutting down, this smart driver automatically reduces power output by 0% to reduce the thermal load, and further 0% more... until the thermal condition is at a safe level for the driver to work in a stable condition. As the driver cools, the light goes up by 0%, and further 0%... until the thermal condition reaches the maximum limits of the driver. Right time, right place and the right amount of light!! Dalight harvest ( also known as daylight regulating) is a must in the future lighting norms. Daylight sensor measures the available surrounding nature light, calculates how much electrical light is needed to reach the total lux expected. the demand is given to the dirvers by DAI or -0V signal, the divers then delivery the needed amount of light. Due to the lumen depreciation after intial 0,000 hours, fixture has to be over designed an extra 0% light output during the first 0,000 hours. This 0,000 hours energy can now be saved by using Hytronik controls, in which the light output is only 80%. After 0,000 hours, light output can go back to on the remote control. Grouping RF transmitter and receiver is a lot of work on site!! this is an easy way of doing it: just set the rotary switch numbers to the same position on all members ( both transmitter and reciever) in the group, prior to installation Daylight Monitoring FICKER FREE Rotary Switch Programing Synchrony Hytronik controls is offer an outstanding feature: daylight sensor is pior to motion sensor ( daylight sensor overwrite motion sensor), even inside the fixture. Daylight sensor is constantly checking the surrounding daylight, and switches off the light regardless if there is motion detected. This is a very useful feature in the bi-level dimming control. Flickering lights causes fatigue to the eyes, leading to tiredness and headaches. It has also been researched that wildlife behaviour can be adversely affected by high frequency flickering of artificial light sources. Hytronik is committed to phase out the old ED driver dimming technology responsible for such flickering and deliver flicker-free drivers for the comfort and well being of humans and wildlife alike. Instead of setting up each parameters of detection range, motion hold-time, daylight threshold, stand-by period, stand-by dimming level, etc. with the helps of this rotary switch programing method, all those setting can be done by a single touch--choose the one of the built-in programs to the numbers on the rotary switch! In large installation, many drivers are connected to the same push switch, they need to be synchronized to perform in the same pace and rhythm. Hytronik driver has an unique feature: no additional synchinization wire is needed. Save wiring, and save cost. 90% Efficiency COSTAT CURRET & COSTAT VOTAGE Warranty. is replacing -0V dimmer, thanks to the better dimming curve, easy wiring and the cost saving of the -0V dimmer. Short push: on/off control; long push: dimming control. A thermal switch is built-in to prevent key components from over-heating. Driver is self-shutdown when the internal temperature reaches the threshold, and automatically resume work when the over-heat is reduced or removed. In case of short-circuit, the driver shuts down for protection, and automatically resume work until the short-circuit is removed. Effciency is the ratio of output wattage versus input wattage. The higher efficiency is, the less energy are wasted on heat, and less thermal trouble caused to the electronic component, and the longer lifespan of the driver. Some of Hytronik drivers have both constant current (00mA~00mA) and constant voltage (V / V ), and most of them are available on the same driver by selecting the different combinations of the DIP switch... ogarithmic dimming curve means the light is dimmed according to human eyes: slow and sensitive at the low level; fast and less sensitive at the high level. Over-load protection is achieved through over-heat protection. A thermal switch is built-in to prevent key components from over-heating. Driver is self-shutdown when the internal temperature reaches the threshold, and automatically resume work when the over-heat is reduced or removed. A built-in permanent memory against power failure: the driver remembers and stays at the same status and lighting level when the power supply was cut-off. ow power factor electronic products creates polution to the power network, and reduces the efficiency of the total gird. Hytronik drivers are all designed with high power factor, > V analogue dimming is still popular. Some drivers switche off when dimmed to the min. level; some can not totally switch off, and require a manual cut-off of power supply to the driver so as to shut down the light completely. 0 Hytronik ED driver Power input line goes from the previous driver to the next driver. Saves a lot of wiring work and cost in big installation. Multiple current selections cut down the inventory size and cost. Most Hytronik drivers offer a DIP switch for customer to select the suitable current for different jobs. Hytronik offers 5-Year product warranty to cover all kinds of product manufacturing defects, and Hytronik will be reliable for the cost envolved:. For product in Hytronik original brand, Hytronik takes care of all related costs including product cost, replacement cost etc. for first years; And only product cost for the rest years.. For OEM customer branded product, Hytronik takes care of the product cost. Hytronik ED driver 0

8 Switch - Dim Wiring Diagram -0V Wiring Diagram push and hold to dim On/off control: short push (<0.s) on the switch. ote: Short push should be at least 0.s, and the time interval between two pushes should be longer than 0.s also. Stepless dimming: long push (>0.9s) on the switch. For fine tuning of light level: with every other long push, the light level goes to the opposite direction. Built--in with permanent memory: light returns to the previous dimming level when switched off and on again, even at power failure. Switch ED+ ED ED + ED -0V + -0V -0V Synchronization Up to pcs drivers can be connected to the same switch, thanks to the programme. This means there is no need for any additional synchrony wire in large installation, where many drivers should be controlled by one switch. Please follow the step below to achieve synchronization function if more than one driver are connected to the same push button: Do a long push for more than 5s, then the system is synchronized and all lights in the group dim down to 50%. ED+ ED ED + ED Permanent Memory -0V + -0V This driver has built-in permanent memory against power failure, which means the light always starts up at the previous level when it was switched off last time. Warning: Please make sure the correct current is selected before starting the driver! Manual Override DAI and swtich-dim. can be connected at the same time, to enable manual override function for end-users to switch on/off or adjust the dimming level by the push-switch. This feature makes the product more user-friendly, and could provide more options for some extra-ordinary demands. * Short push (<0.s): on/off control; * ong push (>0.9s): dim up/down the dimming level. * If customers do not want to have this manual override function, just leave the switch terminal alone, and not connected to any wire. * This manual override is only valid before the next DAI command, meanning the latest action, either from DAI, switch-dim, stays in control. Channel (CH) is for warm white, while channel (CH) is for cool white (see picture on the left). The maximum total load for the driver is 5W. The power is distributed over the channels as required and each is capable of supporting the full load. This means: when channel is at full power 5W (700K), the output of channel (000K) is 0W and vise versa. Application Example: When channel is 0W and channel is 5W, the mixed light output is still consuming 5W and the color temperature is around 000K. Tri-level Dimming Control (Corridor Function) Same as Tridonic excel control gear, Hytronik builds this function inside HEC700 to achieve tri-level dimming control, for some areas that require a light change notice before switch-off. It offers levels of light:-->dimmed light (, 0%, optional)-->off. With the detached sensor antenna SAM5, it requires very little space on the ED panel. Only the antenna is installed on the surface, while the mainbody can be hidden behind the panel. Completely shadow free. 32 Master/Slave Group Control 9 ED Current Selections By connecting the EXT terminals in parallel (maximum 0pcs, see wiring diagram), no matter which sensor detects motion, all HEC700 in the group will turn on the lights when surrounding natural light is below daylight threshold. The sensor antenna is shared and the detection area could be widely enlarged in this way. Other settings such as hold-time, stand-by period, stand-by dimming level and daylight threshold on each individual unit stay the same. ote: if the surrounding natural light of the sensor which detects movement is sufficient, all lights in the group will not be triggered on. 900mA 750mA 550mA The current can be easily configured by choosing the correct combination of the DIP switches (see table on the left). Ambient Daylight Threshold 50mA Current Switch the power supply to the sensor two times within seconds, the sensor can set the ambient lux level as the new threshold. After this period, the sensor goes to sensor mode. Off on: the light turns on and goes to sensor mode, no matter if ambient ux level exceeds the daylight threshold or not. * ong push (>s): dim up/down the hold-time brightness between 0% and. Both the settings on DIP switch and manual override can overwrite each other, the latest action controls. ote:. if end-user do not want this manual override function, just leave the push terminal alone and don t connect it to any wire.. if the detection area is set at Sensor OFF, HEC700 becomes a dimmable ED driver which can be dimmed (% ~ ) by push-switch. 7 8 Absence Detection Function In many other cases, people do not want to have a sensor to switch on the light automatically, for example, when people is just passing by, there is no need to have the light on. The solution is to apply absence detection : by pressing the M/A button on the remote control and manual initiation on the push-switch, the motion sensor remains active, turns on and dims the light automatically, and eventually switches it off in absence. This is a good combination of sensor automation and maunal override control, to have the maximum energy saving, and at the same time, to keep efficient and comfortable lighting. 80% Power Initial 0,000 Hours ight does not switch on when presence detected.
