5 Field of View Description The IntelliSight Sensing Dimmer has a 170 field of view (with no masking). In some installations, it may be required to limit the optical field of view of the sensor. To do this, the lens of the sensor can be partially masked to block those areas where detection is not desired. The sensor is supplied with custom labels for the optional detection angles: 170 detection area (no masking) 120 detection area (short masking) 90 detection area (medium masking) 60 detection area (long masking) To apply the field of view masking labels: 1. Select and remove the desired label from the supplied adhesive sheet. 2. Apply to the side of the lens where detection is to be masked by aligning the edge of the label with the outer edge of the lens. 3. Complete the label application by rolling a finger over the label from the edge toward the center of the lens. With the label properly applied to the lens, the sensor will not detect movement outside the desired area. Figure 8: Masking Ganging Information The IntelliSight Sensing Dimmer is designed with a strap style mounting plate. This device can be mounted in a multigang wall box with other strap design devices from Lightolier Controls and other manufacturers, if desired. The fins on the strap may be left in tact or they may be removed to allow placement in a multi-gang box. If the fins are removed, slight power derating is necessary. The power rating of the sensor is shown in the following chart: Power Rating 120 VAC 277 VAC o Fins Broken 1000 Watts 1000 Watts One Fin Broken 800 Watts 800 Watts Two Fins Broken 600 Watts 600 Watts OTE: For additional information on derating in general, refer to the Lightolier Controls Product Selection Guide. This product guide will present many faceplate options including options to have no fins broken in multi-gang applications. The IntelliSight Occupancy Sensing Dimmers are designer-style, multiple technology wall mounted devices. The sensor switch will automatically turn the lights Off when no occupancy is detected for the time setting (as described in the "Time Delay" section). There will be a warning sound several seconds before the lights are to be turned off. 5. If in Automatic Mode, the sensor will automatically turn the lights on as soon as occupancy is detected. OTE : The Lightolier Controls ITSRB3 3-Way Remote, when connected via the yellow wire to an IntelliSight Sensing Dimmer, provides the same manual On and Off operation as described above. Setting the Light Level Preset The IntelliSight Sensing Dimmer can be easily set, by the user, to turn on the lights to a certain (Preset) lighting level. This allows the device to turn on the lights at a reduced or dimmed level for additional energy savings. 1. If the lights are Off, press and hold the UP button to turn on the lights to the desired lighting level. 2. Release UP button when the desired lighting level is achieved. ote the LED bar on the left-hand side. It indicates the dimmer level. 3. Press the SET button once to set preset level. The left-hand LED bar will display where the preset level is set. 4. To check preset: a. Turn Off lights by tapping DOW button once. b. With lights Off, tap UP button once. c. Lights should go directly to preset. If not, repeat Steps 1-3. The IntelliSight Sensing Dimmer will function well for most applications using the factory default settings straight out of the box, but some adjustments are possible as described in the following chart.
