Pull Keys The Ampcontrol designed and manufactured Pullkey Safety Switch provides a reliable means of conveyor stopping for all types of materials handling applications even under the most demanding conditions. Stainless steel construction provides a corrosion resistant and robust finish requiring low maintenance. The unit has an ingress protection rating of IP66. There are two models available, for slack or taut wire operation. Damaged Belt Detector Get an extra measure of protection for valuable conveyor belts with the Model DB Damaged Belt Detector. Economical and easy to install, they warn supervisory personnel of impending belt failures due to rips, punctures, splice failures or sharp objects protruding through the belt fabric. The Model DB provides a means of automatic shutdown to limit the amount of damage to the conveyor belt with an output that can control up to two separate circuits, one for machinery shutdown and one for an alarm. imac - Supervisory Controller imac can be used in installations that require the monitoring and control of conveyor systems, pumps, fans and security networks. The output contacts can control up to two separate circuits, one for machinery shutdown and one for an alarm. 6 Blocked Chute Detection Blocked chute detection is critical in materials handling applications as blockages can cause significant damage, wastage and most importantly down time. There are a number of methods of detecting a blocked chute available including both contact and non-contact methods. The best method for the application is dictated by the material being detected and installation environment. PacificMI has a range of systems available from basic tilt switches to microwave, ultrasonic, optical and capacitive sensing systems. Microwave Level Switches Microwave level switches are a non-contact method of monitoring high and low level. A microwave transmitter emits a microwave beam across the chute/container and is received for a microwave detector on the opposite side. A controller with adjustable sensitivity can detect blockages and trigger an output whilst being able to ignore build up.
