12 SALIENT FEATURES Panels are manufacture with latest CNC machines and powder coating plant as per International Standards. Fully bolted construction design which allows easy changed at site. Zinc passivity plates are used for the mounting of switchgears, make the panel aesthetically good and provide long lasting surface finish. The panels are available with aluminium and copper busbar. The panels are type tested at CPRI. Latest design as per International standard which matches, functionary, colours and shapes. Specially designed hinge allows the opening of the door at 180 deg. Specially design allows access on Bus Bar for maintenance purpose. Shafty shutters for vertical Bus Bar chambers. Main Busbar and control busbar are totally segregated from each other. ~ 12 ~

15 CONSTRUCTION The panels are constructed using superior quality sheet steel. All the fabricated parts are thoroughly cleaned using nine tank pretreatment process [involving degreasing, derusting, phosphatizing and passivation] and are then powder coated. The panel doors are fully gasketed for protection against dust / vermin entry. Every component used in the panel is thoroughly supervised by qualified and skilled personnel, to ensure supply of quality product. LAYOUT The front side of the panel houses meters, switches and other active devices. In case of control & relay panels, the relays are also mounted on the front side of the panel. The front side of the panel and internal layout is made to suit ergonomic and aesthetic requirements. Adequate space is provided for cabling, operation and testing. The front side of the panel can have mimic diagrams like painted mimic with colours for voltages in line with standard / customer requirement which can be provided with indicating lights, control switches etc. for active display of system conditions. WIRING Wiring is done with 1100 volt grade multi stranded pvc wires. These wires are neatly bunched together with pvc cable ties for ease of working. The wiring at both ends is supported with self locking ferrules and terminal strips for ease of cable termination. The panel is provided with an internal illumination lamp controlled by a toggle / door switch to facilitate maintenance work. ~ 15 ~

16 QUALITY ASSURANCE Rigorous quality checks tests are done at various stages of manufacturing. On the completely assembled panel, routine tests as per IS:8623 are conducted. This is our key policy that we follow towards maintaining excellence in quality standards. We administer stringent quality standards at every level of our production and service support. The three wholesome quality assurance steps that we rely upon include: Raw Material Inspection In Process Inspection Finished Goods Inspection Our test facilities include a complete range of type testing arrangement accredited by ERDA. 26 DESIGNING Designing starts from understanding customer's requirement. Based on the review and inputs the design department will generate drawings and BOQ, specification, inspection details, etc. On readiness of design and specification as stated purchases of bought out material shall commence which shall include evaluation of vendors/sub contractors and subsequently carry out inspection of bought out material. MANUFACTURING fter approved design, working drawing are provided to the engineers to manufacture the sheet steel cubicles/panels. Thereafter assembly and hiring of components is under taken according to approved circuit diagrams. Quality copper busbars are installed from imported electrolytic copper. After customer's/consultant's testing and approval the switchgear is ready for delivery. INSPECTION Guide line for handling, storage, packing shall be obtained from manufacturer/ other competent authority. Wherever necessary, help of outside testing laboratories will be taken to assist us in this activity. Wherever agreed quality/inspection records can be made available for evaluation of purchaser or his representative. Project related training need shall be assessed and necessary training will be imparted at appropriate stage. When required, company shall undertake servicing / annual maintenance contract.
