3 3 3.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTIONS General Notes The following text describes the electrical service installation by each electrical system: - Power Distribution MV Power Distribution LV UPS System General Purpose Power Lighting/Lighting Control/Escape Lighting & Exterior Lighting Fire Alarm System Security Communications & IT Mechanical Services Earthing, Bonding & Lightning Protection Disabled Alarm
4 4 3.3 Power Distribution MV Incoming Supply AMS 06 main MV incoming supply is fed from 2 no Liander 10kV A & B supplies fed locally from the AMS 04 site. The A supply feeds customer room A and the B supply feeds customer room B. The equipment is provided to allow for the MV supply to be upgraded to 20kV in the future. The MV cabling is installed as per the MV schematic drawing which can be seen in the as-built section of the manuals MV Switch room The main MV Switchgear has been supplied by Schneider electric and is situated in customer room A, customer room B, Trafo room A, Trafo room B & Trafo room C. The type of switchgear is Schneider PIX type and details of the switchgear are shown in the materials of the manuals. Supplies emanate from customer room A & customer room B to MV switchgear located in Trafo room A, Trafo room B & Trafo room C. Within Trafo room B & Trafo room C there is 1 no Schneider transformer located in each room. The details of the transformer can be seen in the materials section of the manuals. The MV switchgear controls are backed up by 110V DC UPS units within MV customer room A, MV customer room B, Trafo room B and Trafo room C. Each of the transformer are protected by transformer protection relay units. For more details on the 100V DC UPS units and the transformer protection relay units please refer to the materials section of this manual. 3.4 Power Distribution LV Incoming Supply The main incoming LV supply comes from TX-B a n d TX-C a n d f e e d s to MDP-B & MDP-C respectively, located in the MDP 400/230V 50Hz. This service utilizes 1
5 5 no 4000A rated busbar fed from the transformer TX-B to a 4000 Amp Main ACB within MDP-B and 1 no 4000A rated busbar fed from the transformer TX-C to a 4000 Amp Main ACB within MDB-C Main Switchroom The main LV Switchgear has been supplied by Siemens and is situated in rooms MDP-A, MDP-B, MDP-C & MDP-E. The main distribution arrangement, energy per section configuration, is composed of two parts, to know: - MDP-distributor for the data zones (IT load); - MCC distributor for the mechanic and building installations. Supplies emanate from ACB s within the MDP panels to a distribution system via busbar through electrical containment and risers comprising of the following MDP-B TX-B Incomer 4000A GEN-B Incomer 4000A Loadbank Incomer 4000A MCC-B outgoing 1250A Outgoing UPS B1 1000A Outgoing UPS B2 1000A Outgoing UPS B3 1000A Outgoing UPS B4 1000A Incoming UPS B1 1000A Incoming UPS B2 1000A Incoming UPS B3 1000A Incoming UPS B4 1000A Maintenance by-pass 4000A Data Hall 2 A-Side 1250A Data Hall 3 A-Side 1250A MDP-C
6 6 TX-C Incomer 4000A GEN-C Incomer 4000A Loadbank Incomer 4000A MCC-C outgoing 1250A Outgoing UPS C1 1000A Outgoing UPS C2 1000A Outgoing UPS C3 1000A Outgoing UPS C4 1000A Incoming UPS C1 1000A Incoming UPS C2 1000A Incoming UPS C3 1000A Incoming UPS C4 1000A Maintenance by-pass 4000A Data Hall 2 B-Side 1250A Data Hall 3 B-Side 1250A MCC-C, MCC-B, MCC-C & MCC-D The MCC panels have a critical section and a non-critical section within each of the panels. The Non-critical section is made up of non-critical equipment such as lifts & non-critical mechanical equipment. The critical equipment is made up of Lighting and Power distribution boards and critical mechanical equipment. Supplies emanate from MCCB s within the MCC panels to a distribution system via cabling through electrical containment and risers to their final locations. For additional information regarding the MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear and Transformers, please refer to manufacturer s literature in the materials used section of this manual UPS System The UPS units have been supplied on the project by Eatons. There are 4 no IT UPS units installed per UPS room which power the IT systems in the event of a power failure. There is 1 no mechanical UPS unit installed in each of the UPS rooms which power the critical side of the MCC panels in the event of a power failure.
7 7 For additional information regarding the UPS units please refer to the manufacturer s literature located within the materials used section of this manual.
8 Distribution Boards Endenburg have supplied the LDP panels & SMCC panels distribution panels. There are 14 no LDP panels and 21 no SMCC panels. They are Rittal type and are fitted with Siemens double pole & four pole MCB protective devices for lighting circuits and small power circuits. The socket circuits are fitted complete with RCBO protective devices with 30mAmp protection. Blanking plates for all spare ways and detailed distribution charts are securely fixed, indicating all outgoing and spare ways Cabling All Sub-mains distribution cabling are Draka Hult & Hultflex mbzh 0,6/1kV gy. The UPS cabling is Hultflex XS mbzh 0,6/1kV gy Containment Schneider c a b l e tray & ladder rack have been installed for all electrical sub circuit wiring with separate trays for LV & ELV cabling. The ELV cable trays have been split up into 3 compartments, Data/Fire-Security/BMS. All conduit has been installed using Hostalit pipe with the exception of steel conduit been installed in various locations throughout the plantroom. For further details refer to containment drawings within the As Built drawings section of this manual.
9 9 3.5 GENERAL PURPOSE POWER Sockets/Commando Outlets & Fused Connection Units New general purpose socket outlets have been installed throughout the project and all general services layouts can be found in the relevant drawings contained within the materials used section of this manual. All socket outlets are from the Jung electrical range. Generally they are wired on 20 Amp radial circuits with 30mAmp protection or as detailed on the distribution board schedules. All associated cabling has been carried out in 2.5mm 2 & 4mm 2 Draka hult 0,6/1kV gy cabling contained within galvanized tray and plastic Hostalit conduit Equipment Connections All equipment regardless of whether it is supplied under contract or by others, shall be tested, connected and commissioned Roller Shutter Doors Roller shutter doors have been installed at the Delivery area and Entrance area. Please refer to the Main contractor s literature for the specific details on the shutters Lift Installation There are 2 no lifts located in the building. Please refer to the Main contractor s literature for the specific details on the Lifts.
10 LIGHTING/ESCAPE LIGHTING & EXTERIOR LIGHTING General All lighting on the project is split up on A & B supplies and backed up through the critical side of the MCC panels. Within the office areas, data halls, external Pole lighting and surrounding areas there is LED type luminaires installed. Throughout the remainder of the project all luminaires installed are fluorescent types. All final positions o f l u m i n a i r e s can be found on the relevant drawings contained within the as builts section of this manual and associated information regarding the lighting literature within the materials used section of this manual Emergency Lighting The lighting in all areas is divided 50% from power supply A and 50% from power supply B. The power supplies A and B are connected behind the no-break power supply supplemented by power generator. As a result, it is not necessary to provide separate emergency lighting. Emergency exit signs have be applied in accordance with the BS EN1838 using luminaires with icons. The emergency exit signs have been provided with LED lamps. There have been areas such as the technical rooms & E-tech rooms where emergency luminaires have been installed with 60 minutes runtime. All final positions o f e m e r g e n c y l u m i n a i r e s can be found on the relevant drawings contained within the as builts section of this manual and associated information regarding the emergency lighting literature within the materials used section of this manual.
11 Lighting Control The lighting control system has been supplied by Endenburg and is a KNX system. The switches and KNX equipment is by Jung. The PIR s are by Steinel. All information regarding the lighting control switching can be seen in the lighting control matrix within the As-Built drawings section of the manual. The times for the KNX clock function 1 and 2 are set as follows: - Clock 1: to % to % - Clock 2: to % to % The data hall entry points are provided with 4hr override switches. The lighting control panel is located at the reception desk. 3.7 FIRE ALARM Fire Alarm System A complete addressable fire alarm system is installed throughout the building. The system is by Fire Technology and reference to the components can be found on the fire alarm drawings in the as-builts section of this manual. The system is wired with 1x2x1,5 + 0,8 JH(st)HmbZH Red fire rated cable into the relevant zones contained in accordance with Dutch regulations. There is a Vesda system installed below the ground floor raised floor, in the trafo rooms, in the UPS rooms, in the plantroom and in the Crac corridors. The main fire alarm panel is located behind the main reception beside the reception area and the fire alarm repeater panels are located throughout the project as can be seen on the As-Built drawings. There are I/O units interfacing the fire alarm system with the lifts, fire dampers, BMS panels and security systems. All final positions o f f i r e d e t e c t i o n e q u i p m e n t can be found on the relevant drawings contained within the as builts section of this manual and associated information regarding the fire detection literature within the materials used section of this manual.
12 12 The Pve document and all other relevant fire detection information can also be found within the O&M manuals. Separate Operations & Maintenance manuals have been issued by the specialist contractor. Fire Technology: Fire Detection system
13 COMMUNICATIONS & IT Security/Door Access & CCTV Installation A full Intruder Alarm, Intercom, Clocks, Door Access and CCTV system has been installed throughout the Facility by specialist contractors - Beveco. All final positions and associated information regarding these systems can be found on the relevant drawings & materials section contained within this manual. Separate Operations & Maintenance manuals have been issued by the specialist contractor. Beveco: Intruder Alarm, Intercom, Clocks, Door Access and CCTV Data Cabling The CAT5 cabling has been installed and runs from the XMS cabinets located throughout the building to data outlets, wifi points & Dect points. All XMS cabinets are connected together via Fibre Optic Cabling for the IT Network. All final positions and associated information regarding the XMS system system can be found on the relevant drawings contained within this manual Telephone Cabling Telecity have installed new incoming lines to both the Lifts on the 2 nd floor. Please refer to the Main contractor s literature for the specific details on the shutters.
14 Disabled Alarm System There is 1 no disabled alarm system installed on the project that consists of a power pack insert, alarm signaling insert, single push button insert with pull cord and cancel button insert. The power packs require a 230V power supply. The disabled alarm system has been provided and installed by another party. The disabled alarm system is located in the disabled WC.
15 MECHANICAL SERVICES SMCC Cabling The SMCC cabling can be seen by referring to the SMCC distribution board schedules and the layout drawings which can be seen within the relevant sections of these manuals.
16 Earthing, Bonding & Lightning Protection System A complete earthing and bonding system is provided for the buildings electrical and mechanical installation. All exposed conductive parts and all extraneous conductive parts of the electrical installation are bonded and connected to earth so that in the event of a fault of negligible impedance, disconnection will take place in a manner, and in such time, as to ensure no danger exists. Earth protective conductors interconnect all items of major electrical equipment and incoming services to the main earth bar located in the main corridor. All mechanical and public health installations throughout the Telecity project have been bonded Lightning Protection There has been 2 no lighting spikes installed on the roof next the weather stations. Locations and layouts of the system can be found on the as built drawings contained within the O&M manuals.
