FAMILY FARM HYDROPONICS Sustainability, quality, simplicity, and innovation OUR SPECIALTY : 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PLANT NUTRITION
Dear Sir, Madam, Thank you for inquiring with General Hydroponics! We are happy to assist you step to step with your project, from conception to realization. You can count on the quality of our products, the reliability of our knowledge, and the dependability of our guidance. In order to help you best, we need your feedback. Please fill our Welcome Form (page 3) and send it back. This information will help us to adapt to your specific needs. Depending on your hydroponics growing skills, we can start you from the beginning, or provide you with a readyto-run hydroponic facility. We can also assist you every step along the way with: 1) Our «Initiation kit»*: With complete operating instructions. Includes product follow up and advice. 2) First testing kit*: plant. This includes substrate, nutrients, and regulators for one crop. 3) Final project: ught. 4 ) Each inquiry will be treated to measure and adapted. Of course you are invited to visit us in the South West of France. Seeing hydroponics at work makes a huge difference. If you have more questions, please let me know. Best regards, Noucetta Kehdi (* These kits are refundable from your final order).
MORE INFORMATION FOR YOUR HYDROPONICS PROJECT 1) Choice of crops. The choice of crop is the basic parameter that determines the failure or success of a food production facility: in soil and in hydro, but more so in hydro. So you must make sure that the crop you choose will generate the income you need. That s why a market study specifically adapted to your area is a priority. If you need advice on how to determine your choice, we can help you. Please ask for our crop inquiry form. 2) Plant food, supplements, and regulators While planning your project, you can save on lots of parameters. Please do not save on nutrients. Of course hydroponic systems can grow beautiful plants, but it is the nutrient that makes the difference! We supply an extensive line of very high quality nutrients, supplements, and ph regulators. Our nutrients are designed for hydroponics. They are complete, precise, and highly soluble formulas that can be adapted to a very large variety of crops. They are designed for hydroponics and also operate wonders in soil. We also are the only nutrient manufacturer who gives you the choice between mineral and organic formulas for hydroponics! For certification purposes, please let us know if this is an option for you, as not all countries deliver organic certifications for produce that grows out of soil Your water analysis is important to us, to advice you on the nutrient best adapted for you. If your water comes from the municipal waters, simply provide us with their analysis. If your water comes from a well, a river, or any other means, or if you are not sure about the reliability of your tap water, please send us a sample, and we will have it analyzed here for you. 3) Growing equipment: Once you have tested hydroponics, chosen your crops, and are ready to start your final move, we design your system and adapt it to your specific needs. Depending on the crop/crops you are growing, we offer you different types of hydroponics systems. Our standard offer includes all parts except the pump, the plumbing, and the support system, as these can be found locally at very good prices. Of course, we will provide you with those products as an option if needed. 4) Tools: We happily provide substrate, net pots, pumps, net pots, ph Test Kits, EC meters, and all other tools on demand.
5) Production estimations Some companies offer average estimations of production rates, and you can find a lot of information on Internet. But production estimations are generally provided from your seed supplier. Some crops are well-known to soilless cultivators, and you can even be given results for both soil and soilless. Whichever numbers you are given, hydroponics will produce +/- 30% more harvest than in soil on the same area, if you follow the basic instructions. This is theoretical. In reality it is quite difficult to estimate production rates. This depends on a very large number of factors including varieties, geographical and climatic conditions, grower s skills, water quality, etc. As a general indication, these are numbers that may give you some ideas. 1. Average implantation per m2: a. Salads = 20/m2. b. Strawberries = 12/m2. c. Tomato or physalis vines = 6/m2. d. Peppers = 6/m2. e. Cucumbers = 8/m2. 2. Production average: a. Salads = 72 heads/week b. Tomatoes = 250 lbs/6 months c. Physalis = 300 fruit/plant This is why, before going full scale, we encourage you to make your own mind and test on site, with a small system of our standard sizes (50% deduction on retail price, deductible from your final order). For this purpose we suggest for : Salads and other small plants : The AeroFlo 20 with 10 cm chambers, floating rafts, which we do not sell, but can advice you on. The vines like tomatoes etc : The AeroFlo 20 for small scale projects, the AeroFlo 60 for larger scale projects. 6) Orders Orders for the final project are paid 50% upon ordering, and 50% upon delivery. Includes assembly assistance and product follow-up: free by and phone for first 4 hours. On-site visits are 200 / day, plus expenses. Thank you for your attention. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
FAMILY FARM HYDROPONICS CHOOSE THE RIGHT CROP! When you start a hydroponics project, your choice of crops is your first priority. But it is your choice of crop that makes the difference. HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CROP? Study your market: 1) Determine your market area: which is your ideal radius of action? 2) Prepare a list of questions to ask your prospect clients : Choose the crops then order the system:
Before starting a hydroponics project, we advice you to start with a test system adapted to your crop (this system will be reimbursed when you buy your final growing installation). Once you define your crops, it may be a wise decision to start a mini-test with a small version of the system you ll use. These systems are provided with everything you need for one harvest, including nutrients, ph regulators, substrates (unless stated otherwise) and clear instructions. We also offer you a consultant service to answer your questions and show you the way. We will follow your progression, and make sure that when you start your final project, it will be rapidly successful. Of course, some of you have already done this study and are ready to go. However advanced is the stage of your project, we are happy to help you, and guide you to successful harvests. Noucetta Kehdi
