If tough perennial weeds, bulbs or bulbils are present or if you are covering a lawn, clear the area prior to laying Plantex. Then cover to the correct depth of mulch. If surface weeds germinate in the mulch remove by hand or with a contact weed killer before they have time to establish. Plantex is strong enough to take foot traffic under bark and gravel pathways, and can be used under block paved drives but not gravel drives or trackways where vehicle movements will take place.
