2 100 SAINT ALBANS WAY Homeland The venerable 1774 Hammond Harwood house in Annapolis is graced by a doorway designed by William Buckland and once noted as the most beautiful door in America. Architect William Gordon Beecher faithfully adapted this doorway for his 1931 design of 100 Saint Albans Way. A fitting entry to this beautifully proportioned home whose design combines the best of Maryland s Colonial tradition. All brick construction laid in Flemish bond including water table and stringcourses contribute to its authenticity.
