Introduction Oakleaf Grounds Services offer a full, high quality landscaping, grounds care and arboricultural service to customers in the West Midlands area in both the public and private sectors.

We also maintain sites in Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry and Rugby in the South Midlands region. Our experience of working in highly regulated sectors means that we are performance and quality driven.

2 Introduction Oakleaf Grounds Services offer a full, high quality landscaping, grounds care and arboricultural service to customers in the West Midlands area in both the public and private sectors. We supply grounds maintenance and landscaping services across the Midlands, from Shrewsbury and Hereford in the West, to Burton-on-Trent in the East. We also maintain sites in Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry and Rugby in the South Midlands region. Our experience of working in highly regulated sectors means that we are performance and quality driven. We will ensure that we meet your targets and deliver a value for money service. Our teams are passionate about their work and their experience in the commercial sector means they can maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, meeting all performance targets. We are currently contractors for a number of local authorities, schools/colleges, commercial premises and housing associations across the region, and are proud of our reputation for delivering efficient and quality services at competitive prices. 3 Mowing and Turf Maintenance We look after the grass cutting and mowing of all different types and size of grass/ lawn area including parks, communal gardens, communal grassed areas on housing estates, school grounds and sports pitches. Our modern fleet of mowers and equipment will suit the demands of any job and using our onsite mechanics and purpose built motor vehicle and repair workshop, we will make sure we always have the right tool for the job, without losing time due to mechanical failure. We can offer: n Rotary and cylinder cuts for a park-like finish on any size of area n Rough flail cutting ideal for meadows or areas which are overgrown n Strimming in hard to reach areas by hedging or close to walls, with particular care close to trees, to ensure that damage does not occur to the bark We can provide a regular grass cutting service to any size or area including sports pitches, school grounds, communal gardens or grassed areas on housing estates, parks or grass verges. Also available is a complete lawn care service which includes laying turf, shaping and top dressing, as well as artificial turf maintenance.

4 Hard and Soft Landscaping We understand the value of attractive and well maintained green areas, and the need to ensure that the plants and planting schemes are appropriate to the environment they exist within. We specialise in planting schemes which will provide colour and interest throughout the year, including sensory gardens for care homes, nursing homes and schools. As part of our service, we will maintain existing planting schemes including soil treatments to encourage maximum growth. We can design soft landscaping schemes, including ornamental lawns and tree planting as well as install and maintain water features, ponds and small water courses, as well as hard landscaping features such as decking, patios and fencing. Hedge and Shrub Bed Maintenance We provide a complete maintenance and design service to complement and enhance the local environment. The service will also include pruning, shaping, planting, fertilising and weed removal. We will carry out maintenance programmes to your specification or will design a seasonal plan which will ensure that you get the very best from your planting scheme. Shrub bed maintenance We will carry out clipping and shaping of shrubs and plants, as well as weed removal followed by the application of environmentally friendly herbicides. The soil is treated with fertilisers as well as all clippings removed from site and recycled, and litter removed. We carry out hedge care and hedgerow management in line with conservation and wildlife preservation regulations. 5 Sports Pitches and Play Areas We provide playing field and sports pitch management to number of schools and sports associations, and we understand how maintaining a sports pitch is important to those who use them. Our services include: n Site levelling and grading n Aeration/verti draining/slitting to improve drainage n Scarification n Reseeding and top dressing n Selective weed treatment n Fertiliser application n Replacement of turf n White line markings for all types of pitch or running track n Regular mowing programme n Artificial turf maintenance Our Verti Drainer is an aerator that spikes the ground, allowing oxygen to get into the root system of the grass and delivering a channel for draining surface water. It decompacts the soil, providing deeper and more vigorous roots which mean stronger and healthier turf, making it more resistant to wear. Our Mechanical Seeder drills the grass seed directly into the existing turf without damaging it and it easily fills in bare spots which improves the quality and density of the turf. We will also project manage the installation of new play equipment, develop new sites and maintain and inspect play equipment. All our teams are Enhanced DBS checked as we know how important it is to be aware of security requirements when working in schools or with vulnerable clients. Our staff also wear uniforms and carry identification so that they can be easily recognised, and all of our vehicles carry the Oakleaf Grounds Services branding.

6 Arboriculture/ Tree Services Quality Our team of experienced climbers and qualified tree surgeons provide a complete tree care service from removal, general pruning and shaping, to simply taking away damaged branches following disease and storm damage. We offer a full range of services including; tree felling, crown lifting, crown reduction, crown thinning, stump removal and complete removal. We also sell logs from our Kidderminster office, subject to availability. Our firewood is waste timber which is sold in 1m3 bulk bags and ready split. We are accredited to a number of trade and industry associations, including BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries). We also hold ISO 9001, ISO 4001 and ISO 18001, as well as being members of CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme). These associations have independently assessed our services against their standards to ensure we comply with their membership requirements. We also offer a private garden service where we can assist with hard and soft landscaping, repairs and installation of fences, laying of decking or simply grass and hedge maintenance. We can design individual maintenance programmes to suit your needs and establish working schedules to fit your requirements, including visits on pre-agreed dates so you know exactly when to expect us. We can carry out works to help you solve a problem such as overgrown areas, overhanging branches or dangerous pathways.
