We have the expertise and experience to manage your project right through from the point of concept design, to construction and completion. Our project management team will ensure all aspects of the specification are delivered in a professional, timely and cost effective manner. Since the 1970s we have gained a vast amount of experience and involvement in regeneration and restoration works, mainly from working with Local Authorities and Development Corporations. The scope of works often includes minor building and civils works, water features, stone restoration, play areas, lighting, street furniture and sensitive hard and soft landscape works. These are often high value, complex projects, requiring a collaborative project management team to work alongside the client and stakeholders. 09

The service provision entails estate and park management services, ring fenced horticultural services, as well as a 7 day a week cleansing contract. Working on these high profile parks, we are proud to have attained a BALI Award at Greenwich Park, and Green Flag status at all three parks, with the addition of the Green Flag Heritage Award at Richmond Park. These prestigious parks enjoy a reputation for horticultural excellence and nature conservation, attracting approximately four million visitors each year. Our staff are expected to be in smart uniform and are regularly asked questions relating to horticulture, directions, park features and other related matters, which they handle in a courteous, sympathetic and professional manner. 13

We can remove this risk by providing comprehensive winter gritting and snow clearance services across the UK, via our highly experienced winter gritting team at Nurture Landscapes We have a significant fleet of vehicles comprising of 18 and 7.5 tonne gritting lorries, flat-bed trucks, adapted transit vans and tractors, and store over 2000 tonnes of loose salt at all our major regional depots across the UK. Weather conditions are closely monitored on a daily basis using the Met Office s detailed weather forecasting system. Our Weather Watch system enables swift action, but also avoids the expense of surplus gritting, as our focus is on road surface temperatures where the ice hazard forms. The system receives daily weather forecasts from the Met Office for every postcode area across the UK, which it uses to predict road surface temperatures. This enables us to activate jobs automatically for sites where ice is likely, streamlining the whole operation. 18

The Royal Parks RSME Brompton Barracks Brompton Barracks, based in Kent, forms part of the headquarters of the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) and is one of the highest quality Georgian barracks in the country. The grounds consist of carefully designed formal landscaping around historic buildings which are Grade II listed. Gavin Jones have been contracted at Brompton Barracks since April 2015 and employ a full time grounds maintenance team including a full time sports groundsman to maintain the site. Work includes maintenance of the sports and amenity areas, including cemetery services and burials, as well as management of the large tree stock within a conservation area. The Royal Parks Gavin Jones maintain the prestigious and historic London Royal Parks; Richmond Park (955 ha), Bushey Park (450 ha) and Greenwich Park (73 ha). These parks are maintained within the rigorous requirements of Grade I listed and SSSI management standards and are visited by millions of people annually, representing some of the best public open green spaces in the country. This is exemplified by award of Green Flag status at all three parks, along with the Green Heritage Award at Richmond Park and the BALI Landscape Award for Outstanding Grounds Maintenance Service at Greenwich Park. Chiswick House & Gardens Trust Chiswick Gardens is a restored 18th century garden in West London, open to the public. The grounds cover 65 acres of sweeping landscapes designed by William Kent and is one of the earliest examples of the English Landscape Garden. Gavin Jones have maintained the gardens since April 2014, employing a full time Head Gardener and operative alongside seasonal and part-time employees. During our contract term, the site has been awarded several accolades including, Horticulture Week Custodian Award, which recognises the custodians of the UK s vital garden and green spaces, celebrating the best of parks, gardens and tree management. 22

23 SKY UK Campus, West London Work to the new building of the Sky UK Campus, Brentford, was carried out in 5 phases over a period of 14 months. Due to the nature of the contract the design development was going on just ahead of the installation works, adding demands on the supply chain and site team to meet the phasing programme. Work included the supply and installation of extensive areas of imported soils with perennials, shrubs and semi-mature trees. The majority of the planting was installed during the summer months using containerised stock, providing areas of amenity and wildflower turf to create open areas and views. Private Residence, London This high end house built in the 1850 s has gone through major redevelopment including a basement construction under the rear garden area. The major challenge faced was the limited access, requiring soils to be imported via a conveyor belt system through the house, and large specimen trees and several large stepping stones having to be lifted over the house by mobile crane. Other elements of the build included, drainage, irrigation and lighting systems, which were all managed alongside the house build programme. The success of the scheme was recognised with a BALI award in Pitzhanger Manor, Ealing Pitzhanger Manor dates from 1804, and was designed as a country retreat by Sir John Soane. As part of a recent refurbishment, a new café was constructed within the walled garden as well as refurbishment of the existing Gallery. Gavin Jones, having previously restored the Manor grounds, now known as Walpole Park, were employed to install new drainage and paving, metal edgings with gravel paths and an extensive planting scheme throughout the site of the new refurbishment using traditional species and mixes. 23
