3 Hedge, Shrub and Tree Planting Our extensive experience in reclamation means we are able to advise on topsoil suitability and improvements to ensure successful planting schemes. The Greatest Positive Visual Impact Semi-Mature Tree Planting The supply and planting of large semi-mature trees is a specialism that we can carry out with our in-house planting teams. Working closely with our customers and landscape architects we are able to provide assistance in the final design and suitability of large semi-mature trees. Annual visits to the larger European tree nurseries are undertaken where our operatives are trained in the most up to date, safe and efficient method of tree handling. Forestry Tree and Shrub Planting The backbone of the company since its inception, NT Killingley have supplied and successfully installed millions of native broadleaved and coniferous trees and shrubs over the years on a wide range of projects. Our site operatives are extremely experienced in handling and planting forestry whips, we are able to install vast areas of woodlands at a high rate of production as well as fitting an array of tree and shrub protection. Soft landscaping is the finishing touch that provides the greatest visual impact to any scheme. From the simplest of plans to the most detailed and complex designs, attention to detail is what NT Killingley prides itself on. With long established links to the leading nurseries and horticultural suppliers that the UK and Europe has to offer, the qualities of our installations are always to the highest standard. Amenity Forestry Forestry planting has changed and continues to change, from pure forestry and reclamation to leisure and wildlife parks, we have kept pace with these developments and have a full understanding of the current needs and requirements. With a dedicated and time-served horticulturist team, we are able to undertake high-quality installations and can provide valuable professional advice throughout the project when value engineering is required.
4 Seeding & Turfing A modern and dedicated fleet of specialist seeding equipment including compact and high powered tractors plus a multitude of attachments enabling us to undertake an array of seeding from Sport Pitches to vast Reclamation projects. We have unrivalled experience in soil amelioration and soil manufacture and have some of the most specialist equipment in Europe for this work. Topsoils can be created from a range of sources, including subsoils or colliery shales found on site. As holders of a lifetime Environment Agency Mobile Spreading Permit, we are also able to use waste streams to create soils, which can be a very cheap alternative to standard topsoil provision. We can help in specifying the relevant seed mix for any project Site Clearance and Specialist Tree Felling A fully comprehensive arboricultural service which includes the ability to undertake tree surveys and provide associated reports and support. Our arboricultural operatives are highly trained, fully qualified and vastly experienced. Each operative holds the relevant CSCS accreditation required to undertake a variety of tasks. 5 Fencing We can offer a full and comprehensive supply and installation of any type of fencing, in a clean and efficient way, causing minimum disturbance. Where wildlife considerations are in place we can provide solutions that allow for the protection, migration and control of many species. We are able to provide our customers support and advice in specifying the most relevant and economical products for your schemes. Where possible, NT Killingley use a fully mechanised approach to fence installation which enables us to erect incredibly efficiently with minimal disruption to surrounding areas. Sports Pitch Construction and Maintenance Complex projects are a particular speciality as the Company has a large skilled inhouse workforce and have experience in natural pitches, artificial sports pitches, play areas, MUGAs, natural pitches, bowling greens, drainage and maintenance work. We also carry specialist GPS 3D controlled equipment for surface preparation. This is very useful for sports pitch work as we can produce a full 3D model for cut and fill balance on a pitch to ensure proper drainage and a zero import/export of materials.
6 Grounds Maintenance Services With over 40 years experience in grounds maintenance, our teams use only the latest and most efficient mowing equipment to ensure that the highest standards of work are always met. Specialising in complete grounds maintenance for both commercial and sports pitch facilities we always pay close attention to the environmental impact of our work. Actively supporting biodiversity and nature management schemes we aim to improve the environment for both wildlife and local communities. We can also offer a winter maintenance service that provides a full-scale snow and ice management with a road and path gritting program designed to meet your critical needs. As well as holding current CHAS certification all our operatives have enhanced DBS checks. For grounds enhancement, we can offer a tailored plan of flower rotations, plantings, mulching and seasonal clean-up along with tree management, pest and disease management.
