Please read these instructions carefully and keep them handy when operating the machine.. Basic Provisions Read these operating instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with how the machine works before you use it the first time. Be sure to observe all safety notes in these instructions. Observe all the valid rules and regulations for preventing accidents at the machine location. Follow all the described maintenance intervals. Only use the machine as described in these instructions. Any unauthorized interventions or changes, as well as improper use of the machine, will result in the exclusion of all warranty protection. 7 MACHNE FEATURES. Functional Description of Buttons and Controls. Mounting the Film Roll. Twist the roll-locking knob in a clockwise direction to fix the film roll in place. Main switch: The main switch turns the machine on and off. f you plan to leave the machine idle for a longer Airflow dial: Regulates the airflow (see section.). NOTCE Roll mounted incorrectly Film will not be fused properly period, switch it off. f the machine is producing air pillows, be sure to stop it with the Stop button before you turn it off with the main switch. Temperature dial: Regulates the fusing temperature Note steps - described below for correct mounting. (see section.). ; The film roll is seated firmly on the roll holder. The film continues to feed as long as you continue pressing the button. Preselection keys: The preselection keys let you set the number of air pillows you want to fill. The entered value is shown on the display (see section.). The fusing runner is heating. Lit continuously: The operating temperature has been reached and the machine is ready to run. You can press the start button to start producing the air pillows. Fast blinking: f the indicator blinks quickly, ; The film roll can be rolled forwards from above. ; The film roll has been pushed all the way ; Film runs beneath the tension bar. ; Film runs over the film bar. ; The upper film layer runs above the guide rail; the lower film layer runs below the guide rail.. Pull the film by hand to the fusing runner. At the same time, press and hold the film feed button. this signals a malfunction (see to the stop panel. section ). 8 rti m T, MACHNE FEATURES. Controlling Airflow and Temperature The Cirrus / can use air pillows of different sizes and different film thicknesses. The amount of air required differs depending on the size of the air pillows. Likewise, different fusing temperatures must be configured for the different film thicknesses. To set the right values for a specific film, note the following table: Since ambient conditions can vary locally, it may be necessary to adjust the specified values up or down slightly. 9 MACHNE FEATURES The start button and stop button You can activate and deactivate the counter using K.E.Z are function keys in the descriptions below. The side panel contains a -digit electronic counter with integrated display K. Be sure to comply with the maintenance intervals (see section.). f the machine develops a malfunction, an error message appears in the display. This error message indicates the possible malfunction. Note the above table with error numbers and the corresponding meanings. n general, if a malfunction occurs, switch the machine off. After a short time, switch it back on and see if the malfunction continues. Î Perform the following steps:. Mount the film roll again, noting the information in section... Switch the machine off, wait around one minute, and switch the machine back on again.. f error message E no longer appears, you can resume using the machine. b) Check if the film roll is empty:. Check if the film roll is empty. NOTCE mproper cleaning. Potential damage to the machine. Do not use any cleaning fluids to clean the photoelectric sensor.. Carefully clean the photoelectric sensor F (see Page /) with a dry, soft cloth.. Switch the machine off, wait around one minute, and switch the machine back on again.. f error message E no longer appears,. Switch the machine off with the main switch.. f so, remove the empty film roll. you can resume using the machine.. Leave the machine off for around one minute.. Mount a new film roll, noting the information WARNNG. Switch the machine on with the main switch. in section.. ncorrect troubleshooting Risk of serious injury Please note: only trained personnel are authorized to repair the machine. See if the malfunction is still reported. f the error message no longer appears,. f error message E no longer appears, you can resume using the machine. f you press the film feed button or the stop button, the error message is canceled. Please note: only trained electronics engineers are authorized to correct malfunctions to machine parts. you can resume using the machine. f the error message still appears, perform the activities described in the above table. f error message E still appears after you have carried out the three checks described above, please notify customer service. 12 MALFUN CTONS. Replacing Fuses f the machine cannot be switched on with the main switch, check the fuse in the machine. Î Perform the following steps:. Unplug the power cord from the socket.. Unplug the power cord from the machine.. Open the fuse cover beneath the power plug:. Remove the fuse from the fuse holder:. Remove the replacement fuse from its container and place it in the fuse holder.. Close the fuse cover.. Plug the power cord in to the machine.. nsert the power cord in the socket. 9. 13 MANTE NANCE. Unplug the power cord from the socket.. Let the machine cool down.. Carefully turn the bolt on the feed wheel. Maintenance Table. Make sure the machine has cooled down before performing any maintenance work. Make sure the bolts are pressed up against the corresponding surfaces and tighten them carefully. f you notice wear and tear to the rubber sleeve of the lower feed wheel, exchange it with the upper feed wheel. 9.
