ELECTRIC HEATING ROLL Electric Heating Roll This cost-effective, high-efficiency electric heating roll was developed for the period of August 2005 to July 2007 by the academic-industrial joint research and development team that we, Jiwoo Tech, organized together with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Chungju National University. In 2007 we patented the invention (patent no ). It is also a price-competitive roll with thermal efficiency maximized. Features 1. There is no need to have a boiler. 2. There is no need to have utility equipment such as piping, a thermostat, and a three-way temperature control v/v. 3. It is simple in structure and occupies a relatively small space for installation. 4. It provides a precision temperature control (within ±2 ) and there is almost no difference in surface temperature (within ±1.5 ). 5. Electricity is used as a heat source. This helps keep it pollution-free and the workplace clean. 6. It is cost-effective for installation and maintenance and can be operated unattended. 7. Cost is saved because of no need to charge the heat transfer medium. 8. There is no risk of explosion due to oil leakage. 9. Once installed, it can be used semi-permanently. Certificate of patent 26
