4 Introduction INTRODUCTION The vending machine is to be used only to dispense hot drinks. To operate the vending machine you need liquid beverage concentrates stored in nonreturnable BIB-packs. If the vending machine is used for any other purpose than indicated in these instructions, the manufacturer will not be liable for any damage. The vending machine is suitable for indoor use only. Before putting the coffee vending machine into operation, it is necessary to read the chapter Safety Instructions. The Cafitesse 2000 uses liquid coffee concentrate produced from the finest quality beans and brewed under ideal conditions. Immediately after brewing the coffee concentrate is deep frozen to lock in all its flavour and freshness. The bag-in-box packaging provides the ultimate in handling convenience and hygiene. Thanks to the special design no air can penetrate the coffee in the pack resulting in fresh every time coffee quality. The advanced Cafitesse 2000 machine is easy to operate, easy to clean, very reliable and has a modern design. The machine ensures high speed coffee brewing at the touch of a button. 4 Cafitesse
5 Safety instructions SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Before putting the vending machine into operation, the operating instructions must have been read and understood. Check the drinking water quality. The liquids dispensed by the vending machine are very hot! To prevent scalding, hands (and/or other parts of the body) must be kept away from the outlets while drinks are being prepared and dispensed. Do not attempt to fill several cups by pressing the pot button. There is danger of injuries. Safety devices must not be bridged or put out of function. Never insert the plug into the socket if either is wet and never touch the plug with wet hands. If the power supply cable of the vending machine is damaged it may only be replaced by a workshop named by the manufacturer. Special tools are needed for the replacement. The vending machine must be connected to an electric circuit which is secured by an extra fuse. The connection with an integrated fault current switch is recommended. Use an earthed safety socket for the connection. Follow local regulations. Cleaning of the vending machine at fixed intervals is necessary for functional and hygienic reasons. When cleaning, be aware of sharp edges. There is a danger of injuries. Before cleaning, switch the vending machine OFF. When cleaning the trough do not bring into close contact with magnetic cards or credit cards as this can invalidate them. Clean the vending machine inside and outside with a wet cloth; do not spray it off. Do not use aggressive and/or abrasive cleaning agents. Use only cleaning agents approved by the food industry for cleaning the vending machine. After cleaning, make sure that all components are correctly reinstalled. When the trough of the cooling compartment has not been remounted after cleaning, this will not be indicated! The product will then be dispensed into the vending machine. If the vending machine is switched off for a longer time period (eg. at night or during the weekend), make sure that there is still power available for the cooling compartment, otherwise the cooling system of the cooling compartment will not operate. (Do not disconnect power supply to machine from wall socket). The vending machine may only be programmed, repaired and installed by trained service technicians. Use only genuine spare parts. The technical data of the vending machine are given on the rating plate Cafitesse
