Ensure bins are placed out by 6.00am on collection day and return your bins to your property as soon as possible. Do not overfill your bin and ensure the lids are closed and waste does not blow out. Do not place hot ash, liquids, oils, paint, solvents or hazardous materials into your bins.

3 Green Waste and Bulk Verge Collection Please place your waste onto your verge by 6.00am (including public holidays). Please do not place material onto your verge more than 7 days prior to your scheduled collection date. 4 Which Bin Do I Put It In? Line your kitchen caddy with council supplied compostable liners Place the following items into your kitchen caddy: 4 Fruit and vegetables 4 Meat, bones and seafood Once the caddy is full, remove the bag and place into your FOGO bin. Collected weekly Your FOGO Bin is for compostable items only: 4 Food organics 4 Garden organics NO glass, plastic or metal in this bin please. Council supplied compostable liners only.

5 Collected Fortnightly Your Recycling Bin is mostly the same as before and is for: Recyclables NO nappies NO recycling in bags NO hazardous Items Larger 360L recycling bins are available free of charge. Collected Fortnightly Your Rubbish Bin is for all general rubbish items, such as: Nappies and soft plastics Some items shouldn t be placed into any bins and can be harmful and dangerous. 6 Drop Off And Disposal Sites GREEN WASTE Residents and commercial operators may bring clean green waste to the Regional Resource Recovery Centre (RRRC) at 350 Bannister Road, Canning Vale. Fees apply. The RRRC is open 7 days a week, 8.00am 4.00pm (except Christmas Day and New Years Day). Tel (admin): Tel (weighbridge): The Green Waste Processing Facility located in Canning Vale at the RRRC creates mulch from the clean green waste gathered by council verge collections. 100% of the Green Waste is recovered, with no residual waste going to landfill. They can also be harmful to staff at the waste processing facility if they are not disposed of correctly. Items accepted include: Acids and Alkalis Batteries (household) Fire Extinguishers (red only) Flares Fluorescent Tubes Gas Cylinders Household Cleaners Paint Pesticides/Herbicides Pool Chemicals Smoke Detectors Unknown Chemicals Only domestic quantities (no more than 20kg/l) of HHW will be accepted at HHW disposal sites.

7 Other Items BATTERIES Visit recycleright.wa.gov.au for recycling locations, or download the Recycle Right app. BOOKS, CLOTHING, FURNITURE, SHOES, BRIC-A-BRAC Please do not throw out useful household items in good working order. Giv.org.au is a cooperative initiative by four leading charities, Spine and Limb Foundation, Anglicare, Vinnies and Good Sammy, aimed at reducing illegal dumping at charitable donation points and educating the community about the required quality standards for donated goods. COMPUTERS AND IT City of Melville has two e-waste drop off days per year at the City Operations Centre, 13 Bramanti Road, Murdoch on the following dates: Sunday, 9 September 2018 Sunday, 7 April 2019 Sunday, 8 September 2019 You can also use the Recycle Right app to find other local e-waste drop off points. GARAGE SALE TRAIL Following the amazing success of Garage Sale Trail over recent years, the biggest reuse event in Australia returns over one big weekend on the 20th and 21st of October MEDICAL WASTE Medical or biohazardous waste should never be put in any bin. Please check with your health care provider for the correct method for disposal.
