11 Plot Assignment Strategy Conducted a random lottery with people who have expressed interest in the Golden Gate Park CommUNITY Garden Assigned individual garden plots based on the lottery Hosted a garden buddy meet-up event Created an online forum as another way for people to connect with plot mates Assigned shared plots based on gardener teammate and plot preferences

12 Waitlist The lottery was conducted in early August and became the waitlist; anyone who requests to be added thereafter, is added in the order we receive their request There is only one waitlist for both shared and individual plots As individual or shared plots open up we will move down the lottery to offer plots to gardeners on the waitlist Gardeners can be part of a shared plot while they wait for an individual plot

13 Next Steps Distribute plot assignments (September) Create a Website dedicated to Urban Agriculture Open the GGP CommUNITY Garden for planting (October) Hire a full-time Urban Agriculture Coordinator (November) Form a governance model for the garden (Fall/Winter 2013)
