3 UAF Police Dispatching UAF Police Dispatching The University ECC provides emergency and rou ne dispatching services. The ECC is in direct contact and coordina on with the UAF 24/7. This includes the dispatching and documenta on of events to include minor ac vi es, such as rou ne patrol ac ons, up to reports and inves ga ons, which include arrests and serious criminal ac vity. All calls received in the center are recorded and the informa on received is entered into a computer aided dispatch system. UAF Police Calls 41,715 39,662 37,240 UAF Police Cases

4 Denali Borough Fire Service Dispatching Denali Borough Dispatching The University ECC provides emergency dispatching services for the Tri Valley, McKinley, Cantwell, Anderson and Panguingue Volunteer Fire Departments. This service includes providing 24 hour emergency response dispatching and rou ne radio traffic communica ons. 5 UAF Facili es Services Dispatching UAF Facili es Services Dispatching The University ECC serves as the a er hours call center for UAF Facili es Services. Serving in this func on, the ECC makes appropriate no fica ons of u lity outages, dangerous condi ons as well as emergency and rou ne requests. The ECC also serves as the ini al point of contact in UAF vehicle fleet emergencies and accidents. UAF Facili es Services

6 UAF Shu le Bus Dispatching The University ECC provides parking services call taking and shu le bus dispatching for the UAF campus. Public Notary The University ECC s full me dispatchers are all notary publics for the State of Alaska. Notary service is provided for the UAF Police as part of their normal du es involving arrests and criminal complaints. The ECC also provides free notary services for faculty, staff, students and applicants. Addi onal Services Crime Stoppers The local area Crime Stoppers line is answered within the UAF Emergency Communica ons Center. 7 On Campus Alarm Monitoring The University ECC is responsible for the monitoring of all campus alarm systems. Ac va ons are evaluated for emergency response requirements. When required, an emergency response is ini ated and either the UAF Police, UAF Fire, or UAF Facili es dispatched or no fied per established protocols. Off Campus and Rural Campus Alarm Monitoring The University ECC is responsible for alarm monitoring of University owned property, remote sites and rural campuses. Addi onal Services Residence Life A er Hours Contact Point The University ECC is the a er hours contact for UAF Residence Life and Student Services. The ECC facilitates the coordina on between these departments and UAF Police and Fire to ensure the safety of the UAF student popula on at all mes. UAF Environmental Health & Safety A er Hours The ECC serves as the primary a er hours repor ng point for oncampus injuries, UAF vehicle accidents, emergency contact no fica ons, and situa on assessment for hazardous condi ons. HazMat Shipment No fica on Authority The ECC is the no fica on authority for all hazardous material shipments for UAF points of origin.
