Ever since the Ekofisk field was first discovered in 1969, Tranberg has been involved in its development. Tranberg supplied the complete heat-tracing system for Snøhvit (Hammerfest Gas Plant) and significant parts of the heat tracing to Ormen Lange. Tranberg do also deliver products and systems to e.g. projects like: Goliat, Gudrun, Kårstø KDP2013 and Kårstø K-LAB SST. Ships in operation in these environments have to be adequately heated. To make it possible to perform the related pumping and processing in the predominantly extremely low temperatures, pipes and equipment, instruments and switch cabinets must be safely heated. Heaters on steps and walkways ensure safe working conditions. Ships designed for use in the arctic environment has to be equipped with de-ice systems in order to: Maintain the main functions of the ship Keep manoeuvrability Keep stability related to icing Keep crew safe (rafts, life boats, walkways etc) Tranberg has the related engineering know-how and suitable products to provide the customer with optimal solutions for heating in safe and potentially explosive atmospheres. Training/Commissioning Our service consists of training in engineering, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting. Training can be conducted at our premises, in your organization, or on site, depending on your requirements and the nature of the training. Our service is conducted by highly skilled personnel with extensive experience within site project management and installation. TEF TRACE Frost protection and process heating monitoring and control Tranberg TEF Trace is a multi-loop monitoring and control system for heat tracing applications. The scalability of the system will match most applications where the need of a fully automatic control and supervision is present. The operators panel is located in the panel door. The human, man, machine interface (HMI) provides the personnel with an easyto-use menu where several parameters can be read and set, while the personnel also has access to alarms, status information, trend data and so forth. 4 ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS AND CABLE GLANDS CABLE GLANDS Tranberg cable glands have been manufactured at our factory in Stavanger for several decades. Our heavy duty series of cable glands are preferred by many projects. We are the Norwegian market leader for selected cable glands with the unique O-ring design. Our wide range is normally produced and stocked in brass material, but can be delivered in Stainless Steel AISI 316. The range can also be delivered with different kinds of thread types such as metric, BSP, NPT i.e. Tranbergs most recommended cable glands, stopping plugs, drain plugs, adapters and reducers are provided with an integrated O-ring seal to secure ingress protection. Other types of glands from our range will be provided with an additional teflon washer for ingress protection. ENCLOSURE SYSTEM The series TEF 1060 is the most flexible enclosure system. The enclosures are, in addition to series TEF 1058 and TEF 1059, often used for RIO systems, switching and distribution panels, high voltage solutions etc. The dimensions span from 300x300x100mm upwards by 25mm each direction. This gives the most flexible possibilities to customized solutions. Our strength is to develop junction boxes together with customers to meet the demands for flexibility and best solutions. All our junction boxes are produced in sheet metal, Stainless Steel AISI 316L, to meet the market for lighter weight and increased quality demands. The TEF 1058 and TEF 1059 series are used for a wide range of installations. Typical solutions are for the Electro, Instrument and Telecom market, ESD s and control stations i.e. They can be equipped with cable glands, terminals, pushbuttons and lamps, instruments, relays, fiber optical connections and patch panels, medium voltage connections up to 6,6kV etc. The series TEF 1060 is our most flexible enclosure system. The enclosures are often used for RIO systems, switching and distribution panels, high voltage solutions etc. Tranberg enclosure system TEF 1060 also includes solutions for encapsulating smaller EExd enclosures for Non-Ex components. Our solution is to use an aluminium EExd enclosure inside a TEF 1060 EExe Stainless Steel AISI 316L cabinet. This results in a very flexible and cost efficient solution. CONTROL STATIONS Tranberg offers a wide range of EEx ed control stations in Stainless Steel S316L for use in hazardous environments. Our certificate gives the opportunity to deliver various sizes of Tranberg control stations with various numbers and types of push buttons, lamps etc. from several manufacturers. All control stations are delivered as standard with: 1. 1 x Tranberg gland type E204-3B-M25 (Ø13-17mm) 2. 1 x Tranberg trafolyte label for TAG. Text can be agreed upon. 3. Our product range consists of an assortment of different heat tracing junction boxes, capillary and electronic thermostats, protection material and control systems. HEAT TRACING SOLUTIONS PHOTO EILIV LEREN/STATOIL TEF TRACE Features SAVE ENERGY USING FROST PROTECTION MONITORING AND CONTROL Tranberg TEF Trace multi-loop monitoring and control system for frost protection applications. The scalability of the system will match most applications where the need of a fully automatic control and supervision is present. The operator panel is located in the TEF Trace panel door. This HMI provides the personnel with an easy-to-use menu where several parameters can be read and set, while the personnel also have access to alarms, status information and trend data. Energy Saving: Solid State Relays (SSR): Allows rapid output pulsing (PWM) to quickly achieve the set temperatures, and to ensure a precise temperature control. Scalability: The software is designed to use configurable parameters, allowing customer-specific solutions for e.g. number of outputs and temperature readings. Smooth load control: The system will turn on the outputs in a sequence that minimizes in-rush current when e.g. turning on self-regulating heating cables. Intelligent monitoring: The system will automatically, and periodically, check each output for any earth-leakage and current consumption. All data is accessible in the menu in the control panel. TEF Trace is modularized and typically delivered with either 36 or 45 outgoing circuits, each at 16 or 25A. Completely built into a steel cabinet, external connections are limited to a 3 phase incoming power, outgoing circuits, and interface signals to external control systems. Individual control of any output: Each output may be turned on or off, have a fixed duty cycle (PWM), or be set at a specific temperature. The dead band may also be set as required. Integrations: Hardwired alarm signal to external systems. OPC data available over Ethernet, optionally via a Profibus module. Electric Heat Tracing The demands placed on trace heating systems vary based on the design parameters specific to each application. To meet these needs, Thermon manufactures the widest variety of electric heating cables and control systems in the world. Industrial Electric Heat Tracing Commercial Electric Heat Tracing Tubing Bundles Thermon offers heated tubing bundle solutions for applications ranging from pressure transmitters, process analyzers, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), freeze protection, process temperature maintenance or high temperature exposure. Freeze protection of piping, valves, fittings and instrument tubing for fire protection water, potable water, sea and fresh cooling water, drill water and bilge water discharge. Anti-icing (kept ice free) e.g., door seals, ballast tank vents and cargo system valves. De-icing (ice removal in 4-6 hours) e.g., helidecks, walkways, walkways, ladders, antennas, scuppers and railings. Our new Ex-system department will be an engineering and production unit of electrical systems for use in Ex-areas, mainly focusing on oil and gas industry in Norway. 15 HELIDECK AND OBSTRUCTION LIGHTS ACCORDING TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS HELIDECK STATUS LIGHT SYSTEM A helideck status light system (a red flashing beacon) should be fitted to give any helicopter approaching or on deck a warning that the installation is in an unsafe condition for helicopter operations (e.g. gas detection). The Tideland Signal HeliLED system complies with CAP 437 requirements and is available certified for use in Zone 1 areas. It utilises LED technology providing long life with minimal maintenance. PERIMETER LIGHTS The colour of the perimeter lights has changed from yellow to green. There are additional requirements to the vertical beam angle of the light and the light intensity is increased from 25Cd to 30Cd. Tranberg can offer a LED perimeter light which will have a very long lamp life of 50,000 hours. This will result in maintenance savings. The lights should be equally spaced at intervals of not more than 3 meters around the perimeter of the safe landing area. For use in Zone 1, Zone 2 and safe area. FLOODLIGHTS According to the letter of March 2006 sent by UK CAA to the offshore industry, four (4) xenon floodlights have to be installed on the deck at an angle of 90 o equally spaced around the platform for optimal illumination of the deck. HELIDECK CONTROL SYSTEM The TEF 4500 Commander Utility Helideck Lights Control System (HLCS) is a complete control system for all helideck lights. Based upon the Commander Utility technology, this control system allows the control panel to be installed in the bridge or radio equipment room, while the enclosure with all other necessary components may be installed further away. It measures atmospheric visibility (meteorological optical range) by determining the amount of light scattered by particles (smoke, dust, haze, fog, rain and snow) in the air that passes through the sample volume. Tideland Signal has been providing marking systems to the offshore industry for over 35 years. Many of these systems have a 25 year history of reliable service in some of the harshest environments on the planet. The latest development brings the benefits of LED technology (including 15Nm lantern) resulting in low power, no re-lamping and minimal maintenance to the offshore industry operating in Zone 1 (ATEX CAT2) hazardous areas. The systems comply with the latest IALA Recommendation O-139 on the Marking of Man-Made Offshore Structures and include the option of a 15Nm light which is often additionally required by regional authorities. Tideland Signal designs systems for maximum reliability as they need to operate during safety critical times. Each of the lanterns and fog signals are therefore autonomous units with their own U coder. In this way, service to the mariner is not affected by any central control panel failure, and they run directly from the standby battery minimising Points of Failure. Another advantage of this design is that it provides flexibility in the way the system can be powered. A central battery system, where standby power is maintained by a charger housed with a DC distribution board and monitor panel can be used; or alternatively a de-centralised system, where each light and fog signal station has its own power supply and battery with only an alarm panel at a central location. Both versions can provide photocell override for turning the lights on during the day, and a fog signal silent switch. The advantage of the de-centralised configuration is that space is saved in the central areas and DC distribution is minimised. The Syncrolan system is certified under the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas.
