1 PolySwitch Surface-Mount Resettable Fuses New surface-mount products reduce the footprint and extend the operating range of the broadest product line of surface-mount resettable fuses Raychem, inventor of polymeric PT (positive temperature coefficient) resettable fuses, doubles its surface-mount product line with innovative new devices. More than 10 years ago, Raychem introduced the SM product family and it quickly became the computer industry standard for keyboard, mouse, and disk drive protection. Four years ago, Raychem revolutionized the industry, reducing the size and cost of surface-mount resettable fuses with the introduction of its patented minism product family. Now Raychem is introducing many exciting new surface-mount products. These include the microsm family, which reduces the size to a 3225-millimeter (1210-mil) footprint nearly half the size of the popular and highly utilized minism family.
