Built-in Equipment: Securely anchor units to supporting cabinets or countertops with concealed fasteners. Verify that clearances are adequate to properly operate equipment. C. Range Anti-Tip Device: Install at each range according to manufacturer's written instructions. D. Utilities: See Divisions 22 and 26 for plumbing and electrical requirements. 3.2 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Perform tests and inspections. 1. Manufacturer's Field Service: Engage a factory-authorized service representative to inspect components, assemblies, and equipment installations, including connections, and to assist in testing. B. Tests and Inspections: 1. Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspection and testing for each appliance according to manufacturers' written recommendations. Certify compliance with each manufacturer's appliance-performance parameters. 2. Leak Test: After installation, test for leaks. Repair leaks and retest until no leaks exist. 3. Operational Test: After installation, start units to confirm proper operation. 4. Test and adjust controls and safeties. Replace damaged and malfunctioning controls and components. C. 8 Plumbing 1. Refer to Plumbing Specifications all above ground domestic water lines to be PEX with push on or compression banded fittings. Support spacing to be per manufacturer s specifications. Fire Protection 1. Refer to Fire Protection Drawing FP-1, Flow Test. Fire Hydrant flow test data is attached to this addendum. 2. Refer to specifications Section Automatic Fire Protection System. Delete reference to the Owner s Insurance Underwriter. All work to be in complete accordance with NC Department of Insurance (NC Building Code) requirements and NFPA 13. Electrical 1. Refer to Drawing E-3. Sprinkler hot box referenced is actually a vault which is located on Civil drawing C 1.0. Weatherproof receptacle specified is to be installed in the vault. 2. Refer to Drawing E-3 and Addendum #1. The 4 conduit to the road for service entrance referenced in the telephone/data riser is to be routed to Jones Cove Road and terminated at the location designated by the service provider. Contractor is to assume this location could occur at any point along the property line frontage on Jones Cove Road. 3. Refer to Specifications Section Fire Alarm System. Disregard reference to an existing fire alarm panel. The fire alarm panel is to be new as specified on the drawings and by addendum. 4. Clarification: Use of MC Cable is to be restricted to that specified on the drawings and in the specifications, Per Owner direction. 5. Refer to Drawing E-2. Wall-Mounted Occupancy Sensor (Sos) Switch to be similar to Leviton #ODSO-IDG, 120/277v rated, wired per mfg s recommendations. 6. Refer to Drawing E-2. The G fixtures shown in the Outside Flex Quarantine (x4) and the Outdoor Dog Adoption (x5) are to be a 4 linear surface mount with 3500 K color temperature, wet listing and dimming capabilities in lieu of the fixture shown. Use Failsafe #HVSL4-4-LD4-2STD-35-UNV-0 WL, or approved equal. Color by Architect. 7. Refer to Drawing E-4, Fire Alarm Symbol Schedule The Fire Alarm Panel is to be EST #IO-64. The Annunciator is to be EST #RLCD-C. Smoke Detectors to be SIGA-PS2. Horn Strobes (Weatherproof, outdoor) to be EST #WG4WF-HVMC. Visual Alarms to be G1-VM. 8. Refer to specification section attached for information on surge suppression. 9. Clarification on Electrical Alternates: a. Alternate #3 Provide Fire Alarm System manufactured by Edwards Systems Technologies (EST), Access Control System manufactured by Honeywell, and Security Camera System manufactured by Interlogix. b. Alternate #4 Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Security Camera Systems are to be furnished and installed by Haynes Technologies.

Include rated capacities, operating weights, operating characteristics, furnished specialties, and accessories. B. Field quality-control test reports. C. Operation and Maintenance Data. 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Source Limitations: Obtain suppression devices and accessories through one source from a single manufacturer. B. Electrical Components, Devices, and Accessories: Listed and labeled as defined in NFPA 70, Article 100, by a testing agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction, and marked for intended use. C. Comply with IEEE C62.41, "IEEE Guide for Surge Voltages in Low Voltage AC Power Circuits," and test devices according to IEEE C62.45, "IEEE Guide on Surge Testing for Equipment Connected to Low-Voltage AC Power Circuits." D. Comply with NEMA LS 1, "Low Voltage Surge Protection Devices." E. Comply with UL 1283, "Electromagnetic Interference Filters," and UL 1449 (3 rd edition), "Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors." 1.4 PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Install devices for panelboard and auxiliary panels with conductors or buses between suppressor and points of attachment as short and straight as possible. Do not exceed manufacturer's recommended lead length. Do not bond neutral and ground. 1. Provide multipole, [60] -A circuit breaker as a dedicated disconnect for suppressor, unless otherwise indicated. 3.2 PLACING SYSTEM INTO SERVICE A. Do not energize or connect [service entrance equipment] [panelboards] [control terminals] [data terminals] to their sources until surge protection devices are installed and connected. 3.3 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. 16 FORM OF PROPOSAL Haywood County Animal Services New Facility Haywood County, NC CONTRACT: DATE: The undersigned, as Bidder, hereby declares that the only person or persons interested in the Proposal as principal or principals is or are named herein and that no other person than herein mentioned has any interest in this Proposal or in the Contract to be entered into; that this Proposal is made without connection with any other person, company or parties making a bid or proposal; and that it is in all respects fair and in good faith without collusion fraud. The Bidder further declares that he has examined the site of the Work and informed himself fully in regard to all conditions pertaining to the place where the work is to be done; that he has examined the Specifications for the Work and the Contract Documents relative thereto, and has read all Special Provisions furnished prior to the opening of bids; that he has satisfied himself relative to the work to be performed, and that he will honor this proposal for sixty (60) days. 17 Unit Price Work: Unit prices will be in effect only when necessary work falls outside the scope of the original contract work. Please insert unit price for all the items listed below (items listed below are an estimate of possible quantities and are not a guarantee of Work or Payment). For all Unit Price Work that occurs outside the above lump sum price, payment shall be made in an amount equal to the sum of the established unit price for each separately identified item of Unit Price Work times the quantity of that item.
