1 THE BELL TELEPHONE Pa. P.U.C.-No. 1 Section 1C COMPANY OF PENNSYLVANIA Fourth Revised Sheet 1 Canceling Third Revised Sheet 1 A. DESCRIPTION Flexible Pricing provides a regulated method to adjust rates for competitive services in response to changing conditions in the marketplace. These adjustments are necessary to help assure that rates for competitive services are priced to provide the greatest practical contribution, thus keeping basic service rates as low as possible. For any product or service flexibly priced, the Telephone Company will provide to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission a list of all costs associated with the product or service. The costs provided will include a cost methodology as well as a lower and upper rate limit acceptable to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. The Telephone Company may adjust its rates up or down in response to changing market conditions, subject to the requirement that its rates are within the limits on file with the Commission. Changes in the current rates will become effective 60 days after filing with the Commission. B. REGULATIONS 1. Flexible Pricing applies only to items specifically identified in the appropriate Tariffs. 2. All conditions of service and/or regulations set forth in this Tariff apply to items flexibly priced. 3. Those items that are flexibly priced are identified in their respective Tariff Sections by the symbol Ä and a corresponding footnote. In addition a list of items flexibly priced appears in Paragraph E. C. APPLICATION OF RATES 1. When a monthly rate is reduced or increased, all new and existing customers will be charged the new rate beginning with the date of the effective Tariff. 2. When a one time charge is reduced or increased, only new customers will be charged the revised rate. D. RATES See the respective Sections of this Tariff for the presently effective rates. Indicates change ISSUED JANUARY 29, EFFECTIVE MARCH 30, By J. J. Doherty, Jr., Vice-President, One Parkway, Philadelphia, Pa.
