2 B Our People rent and Nicole are the husband and wife team who form the core of WK Kitchens and Furniture c.c. Operating from Wellington in the beautiful Cape Winelands they form a hands on team who dedicate their time to good design, service and quality. Born in the USA, raised in Switzerland to Swiss and South African parents, Nicole has designed and produced bespoke cabinetry since She has an engineering background and designs all our creations, preferably working closely with the clients in order to create exactly the space and feel required. No detail is ever too small for her attention. Brent, studied design before moving into ITC within the international film industry. He joined Nicole in her business in With his team of artisans, he manufactures and installs all joinery items. Attention to detail, neatness and full functionality is the most important consideration. In our designs we strive to create the balance between form, function and necessity that is so important in todays living spaces. Ongoing dialogue is formed with other contractors to ensure that electrical, plumbing, gas and other important considerations are attended to early in the project to avoid additional work closer to completion. Additionally we supply and install Gaggenau, Siemens, Bosch and Smeg appliances at competitive rates. Page 2

3 A Our Company t WK Kitchens we focus on our relationshipswith our clients. Our unique cabinetry projects are created around the needs of each individual client we service. Our good reputation in the regions we work is such that we are fortunate enough to gain new work exclusively through word of mouth and referral and we maintain our relationships with our clients long after we have completed their projects. As each client is different we do not limit ourselves to any particular architectural trend or genre, we remain flexible so that we can accommodate any brief and are willing to tackle the most difficult tasks. We research new and exciting materials and their practical application. All our materials used are the best quality we can obtain, our MFC and MDF boards are only A grade and all our solid woods are prime. We do not use any solid wood that is not certified insect free, from renewable cultivated forests and not the so-called blood timber that is supplied from certain countries to fund local conflict. We strive to use only environmentally acceptable adhesives, paints and lacquers. Our solid woods are finished in waxes Page 3

4 Our Company and oils and we prefer not to stain where possible. Our white sprayed items are only finished with white non yellowing polyurethane or water based lacquers. The accessories and hardware we use in all our cabinets are all very high quality imported items that are almost all guaranteed for life. Runners, hinges and bins are all self and soft closing, all accessories fixed within our cabinets have additional 10 or 8 millimeter hard plastic dowels inserted into the board prior to being screwed into place to ensure that they never pull out. We have designed, manufactured and installed many cabinet projects in the - Franschhoek area. We are happy to supply you with a few clients, developers and architects that we have had the pleasure to collaborate on projects. They are most happy to be contacted for reference.
