25 Bridges: Acute Recovery Keeping Cumbria Moving All 1600 initial bridge inspections completed. Circa 600 second phase bridge inspections completed. 23 damaged road bridges repaired and re-opened. 8 damaged footbridges repaired and re-opened. 3 temporary bridge constructed and opened. 6 bridges identified as requiring complete reconstruction. 200 bridges identified as in need of some form of repair.

27 Bridges Diversions ranging from 3 miles to 69 miles Temporary road bridge at Pooley Bridge was in place by Easter Engagement with local communities on solutions Works determined so far on circa 500 road bridges and 11 foot bridges, further investigations will expand this programme Falling water levels allowed more detailed survey work which opened some bridges and closed others

30 A591 5 km of carriageway affected, 15 landslips and 70m section of road collapsed Actions in first 2 weeks included 5,000 tonnes debris cleared and emergency tree clearance by County Council and Military Aerial surveys and topographical, geotechnical, slope stability and ground investigation undertaken by CCC Further damage as a result of Storm Frank Three phases leading to permanent solution Phase 1 reconnecting the communities, phase 2 temporary road, phase 3 complete and full reinstatement delivered by Highways England
