Broadview Pocket Park Improvements Planned improvements include construction of jogging/walking path, fencing, site furnishing, landscaping and an irrigation system. Conceptual design is complete. The Planning and Development Management Division worked with the Broadview Park Civic Association to identify potential projects to fund with the approximately $170,000 being paid to Broward County for use of its easement along Florida s Turnpike. The proposed project is a pocket park located at 1955 SW 50th Avenue. Highway Construction and Engineering Division December 2017 $470,000 Sunview Park Improvements Planned improvements include construction of a 3,000 square foot building with offices, restrooms, computer room, warming kitchen and assembly hall. A new playground will also be constructed. Construction of the new playground anticipated to begin in September 2016 and will follow with building construction in 2017. Streetlights Pilot Program Traffic Engineering Division (TED) and Florida Power and Light (FPL) collaborating on Pilot program to improve / provide streetlighing as needed in Broadview Park. Traffic Engineering Winter 2017 Potential residential area for the pilot program identified. TED and FPL are collaborating on plat and parcel data for preliminary design. Pilot program and project scope being defined Wildfire Cameras Installations Multi-agency and vendor (Wildfire) collaboration underway to install surveillance cameras along public streets and highways.
