Warning: sk a dealer or an autorized tecnician to install te unit. or installation work, follow te instructions in te Installation Manual and use tools and pipe components specifically made for use wit refrigerant specified in te outdoor unit installation manual. Te unit must be installed according to te instructions in order to minimize te risk of damage from eartquakes, typoons, or strong winds. n incorrectly installed unit may fall down and cause damage or injuries. Te unit must be securely installed on a structure tat can sustain its weigt. If te air conditioner is installed in a small room, measures must be taken to prevent te refrigerant concentration in te room from exceeding te safety limit in te event of refrigerant leakage. Sould te refrigerant leak and cause te concentration limit to be exceeded, azards due to lack of oxygen in te room may result... efore installation (nvironment) aution: o not use te unit in an unusual environment. If te air conditioner is installed in areas exposed to steam, volatile oil (including macine oil), or sulfuric gas, areas exposed to ig salt content suc as te seaside, te performance can be significantly reduced and te internal parts can be damaged. o not install te unit were combustible gases may leak, be produced, flow, or accumulate. If combustible gas accumulates around te unit, fire or explosion may result. o not keep food, plants, caged pets, artwork, or precision instruments in te direct airflow of te indoor unit or too close to te unit, as tese items can be damaged by temperature canges or dripping water... efore installation or relocation aution: e extremely careful wen transporting te units. Two or more persons are needed to andle te unit, as it weigs 0 kg or more. o not grasp te packaging bands. Wear protective gloves as you can injure your ands on te fins or oter parts. e sure to safely dispose of te packaging materials. Packaging materials, suc as nails and oter metal or wooden parts may cause stabs or oter injuries... efore electric work aution: e sure to install circuit breakers. If not installed, electric sock may result. or te power lines, use standard cables of sufficient capacity. Oterwise, a sort circuit, overeating, or fire may result. Wen installing te power lines, do not apply tension to te cables..4. efore starting te test run aution: Turn on te main power switc more tan ours before starting operation. Starting operation just after turning on te power switc can severely damage te internal parts. efore starting operation, ceck tat all panels, guards and oter protective parts are correctly installed. Rotating, ot, or ig voltage parts can cause injuries. 5. rainage piping work lectrical work Test run asy maintenance function... 4 fter installation work as been completed, explain te Safety Precautions, use, and maintenance of te unit to te customer according to te information in te Operation Manual and perform te test run to ensure normal operation. ot te Installation Manual and Operation Manual must be given to te user for keeping. Ventilate te room if refrigerant leaks during operation. If refrigerant comes into contact wit a flame, poisonous gases will be released. ll electric work must be performed by a qualified tecnician according to local regulations and te instructions given in tis manual. Use only specified cables for wiring. Te terminal block cover panel of te unit must be firmly attaced. Use only accessories autorized by Mitsubisi lectric and ask a dealer or an autorized tecnician to install tem. Te user sould never attempt to repair te unit or transfer it to anoter location. fter installation as been completed, ceck for refrigerant leaks. If refrigerant leaks into te room and comes into contact wit te flame of a eater or portable cooking range, poisonous gases will be released. Wen te room umidity exceeds 80% or wen te drainpipe is clogged, water may drip from te indoor unit. o not install te indoor unit were suc dripping can cause damage. Wen installing te unit in a ospital or communications office, be prepared for noise and electronic interference. Inverters, ome appliances, ig-frequency medical equipment, and radio communications equipment can cause te air conditioner to malfunction or breakdown. Te air conditioner may also affect medical equipment, disturbing medical care, and communications equipment, arming te screen display quality. Termal insulation of te refrigerant pipe is necessary to prevent condensation. If te refrigerant pipe is not properly insulated, condensation will be formed. Place termal insulation on te pipes to prevent condensation. If te drainpipe is installed incorrectly, water leakage and damage to te ceiling, floor, furniture, or oter possessions may result. o not clean te air conditioner unit wit water. lectric sock may result. Tigten all flare nuts to specification using a torque wrenc. If tigtened too muc, te flare nut can break after an extended period. e sure to ground te unit. If te unit is not properly grounded, electric sock may result. Use circuit breakers (ground fault interrupter, isolating switc (+ fuse), and molded case circuit breaker) wit te specified capacity. If te circuit breaker capacity is larger tan te specified capacity, breakdown or fire may result. o not operate te air conditioner witout te air filter set in place. If te air filter is not installed, dust may accumulate and breakdown may result. o not touc any switc wit wet ands. lectric sock may result. o not touc te refrigerant pipes wit bare ands during operation. fter stopping operation, be sure to wait at least five minutes before turning off te main power switc.
