It holds 7 vessels, art glass and/or China Luxe, of your choice. Assembly required. For installation instruction, you may download a slide show from the Dealer/Rep Log-in section at Important Information Installation Guide Undermount Stainless Steel Sinks Vitreous China Lavatories WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Stainless Steel Sink edges are sharp and can cause serious injuries. Use gloves and handle sink edges with caution. Due to the nature of undermount installation, Wells Sinkware (Wells) recommends that Wells undermount sinks be installed by professional installers. The templates are only a guide. Wells strongly recommends the physical presence of the sink when countertop is cut. For Komponents Series multiple bowl configurations, a minimum distance of 2-1/4'' ( mm) is required between the bowls. Any additional required support should be determined by the countertop supplier. For replacement installations, make sure the existing cutout is the same size or smaller than the cutout for the new sink. The number of mounting clips included with your sinks may vary. Use all the clips provided with the sink. Allow the silicone caulk to cure following the manufacturer's instructions. All information in this manual is based on the latest product information available at the time of publication. Wells reserves the right to make revisions in the design of products without notice. 1. Wells undermount sinks can be installed in three different ways in terms of the amount of reveal of the sink flange from the countertop cutout opening (see Undermount Reveal Options at Page 66)

6 Installation Guide Art Glass Vessels All templates for Chicago Series, Great Lakes Series GLU39-99 (U202)/ GLU21-97 (U203)/GLU21-79 (U203A) and Komponents Series stainless steel undermount sinks are for 3/ 16'' positive reveal installation. All templates for Great Lakes Series GLU (U301)/GLU (U301A)/ GLU (U302) and Jazz Series undermount stainless steel sinks are 2-in-1 for both 1/ 4'' positive reveal and flush mount installations. All templates for Rhythm Series vitreous china undermount lavatory sinks are for 3/16'' overhang installation. If you want the sink installed differently from what the template offers, make sure to tell your fabricator your preference. 2. Verify cabinet clearance. Use Wells recommended cabinet size. Position template at desired location on the countertop allowing necessary space for the sink to fit into the cabinet, and enough room on the countertop for clips, faucet, and soap dispenser, etc. 3. Choose the right fastener (not provided) for the countertop material. On the underside of the countertop, about 3/4'' or closer depending on the space available from the edge of sink flange, mark spots for clip locations, at flange corners and every 6'' to 7'' apart around the sink flange. Secure the clips at the marked locations loosely. 4. Clean the sink flange and countertop surface where the sink flange will be mounted with a solvent such as denatured alcohol. Dry thoroughly and apply a thin bead of clear silicone caulk around the top deck of sink flange. Some Wells art glass vessels are intended for either above-counter or partialrecess installation (marked AC PR ), while all the others should be only installed above the counter (marked AC ). For above-counter installation Step 1: In the countertop*, drill a hole 1 3 /4'' diameter where the vessel bowl will be centered. Step 2: Place mounting ring under the vessel as shown below if the vessel has a rounded bottom, or directly put the vessel on top of the hole drilled in the countertop if the vessel has a flat bottom. Position and align sink over the countertop opening and press sink against countertop. 6. Adjust the position of sink if necessary. Make sure it is aligned to the cutout opening. Completely tighten all fasteners. Remove excess silicone caulk around the inside and outside edges of sink flange. After silicone cures, wipe inside edge with denatured alcohol. This will smooth out any rough areas. Step 3: Use a generous portion of plumbers' putty under the drain cup of the lavatory drain supplied with the vessel and insert the whole body of the drain inside the bowl and through the countertop. There may be a small beveled rubber washer included with your drain, discard it and use plumbers' putty instead. Remove excess plumbers' putty

7 For partial recess installation A Wells Guide to Care and Cleaning Stainless Steel Sinks of Step 1: Cut a hole of certain diameter with a beveled edge with certain angle (this has to be determined by your professional countertop fabricator) that allows your vessel recessed into the hole to certain depth of your preference. Step 2: Apply a bead of silicone caulk along the edge of the hole and press the vessel against the edge and adjust it to the right position. Remove excess silicone caulk after it cures from both above and under. Step 3: Use a generous portion of plumbers' putty under the drain cup of the lavatory drain supplied with the vessel and insert the whole body of the drain inside the bowl. Step 4: From under the drain, insert the thick rubber washer, screw on the metal nut and tighten it by hand**. Remove excess plumbers' putty. WELLS recommends that stainless steel sinks be rinsed and wiped clean immediately after use. To clean, use the mildest cleaning procedure that does the job effectively. Apply warm water and a mild cleaning agent with a soft sponge, fiber brush or cloth. Rinse with clear water and wipe dry. Always keep the sink clean and dry when not in use. Keep the sink free of standing water that may build up mineral deposits. If a mineral deposit does build up, use a weak solution of vinegar and water to remove the deposit and rinse the sink surface with water. For stubborn dried food deposits and other stains, use baking soda or a mild non-abrasive cleanser like Bar Keepers Friend or Bon Ami etc. Use a damp sponge or a nylon mesh sponge for best results. If your sink has a matte finish, make the scrubbing movement along with the direction of the finishing grain. Scrubbing across the grain will show as a scratch while scrubbing in the same direction as the grain will blend in surface scratches. If your sink has a lustrous DuraSatin finish, as it most possibly does, your scrubbing should be in a circular motion. Thoroughly flush the sink with water. If your sink already has minor scratches and/or hard-to-remove stains, you can refinish the sink by scrubbing the same way mentioned above, using the rough side of a Scotch-Brite Scrub Sponge with Comet powder. Work in an extended area around the scratches and/or stains preferably all the way to the edges of the surface so that the refinishing has a uniform and continual look. You don t have to worry about rubbing too hard you'll only remove an extremely thin layer of steel. Thoroughly flush the sink with water. Repeat the process until you are satisfied with the result. This refinishing method works the best with matte finish sinks. It ll make satin finish a bit dull but you may do it if you prefer to have a smoother look of the bowl without obvious scratches and stains. Never use steel wool scouring pads, wire brushes or other metallic implements to clean your sink, as they will leave a residue of small iron particles. These particles may be imbedded in the surface of sink and make it look 'rusty'. We don't recommend that you use chlorine bleach in your stainless steel sink, as chlorine will attack the components in stainless steel that make it truly stainless. Since some antibacteria soap may contain chlorine compounds, dilute it when use and clean up any spills. Note: * The countertop shouldn't be thicker than 1 3/ 4 '' due to the length of the drain supplied with the vessel. ** Hand tight only. Over-tightening may break the vessel. Certain foods such as pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, vinegar, and salt laden foodstuffs can cause pitting of the sink if they are left standing on stainless steel for a prolonged period since they will attack and corrode. We don t recommend that you use rubber mat as a protector because it may hold water and food residue and leave marks on the sink that are hard to remove. We strongly recommend that you purchase Wells custom-made sink bottom grid that fits exactly into each bowl, drains your dishes and silverwares, and of course, protects your sink from scratches

8 Wells Sinkware Lifetime Limited Warranty Wells Sinkware One Year Limited Warranty Wells Sinkware (Wells) warrants all of the Chicago, Great Lakes, Komponents, Toronto, Jazz Series and the Chef's Collection sinks to be free of all manufacturing and material defects under normal use by the original owner. Wells will replace without charge any stainless steel sink sold by Wells that is proven to be defective, with an equivalent replacement, during the period specified in this warranty, to the original owner. The sink must be used in a solely residential application, installed in accordance with the Wells Sinkware Installation Guide, and must not be damaged due to negligence, misuse or abuse. In the event of a warranty claim the original owner must provide proof of purchase. This warranty does not cover damages that might be caused by the product (Some states do not allow such limitation so this reference might not apply to you). Wells reserves the right to inspect any sink that is claimed to be defective prior to the replacement of the sink. Replacement of the sink excludes any labor for removal or reinstallation and transportation costs. Wells Sinkware will not be liable in case of: Improper installation Any modifications of the product as manufactured by Wells Sinkware Damage from dropped objects or heavy impact Improper care and maintenance Improper use of corrosive chemical such as photographic solutions, industrial acids etc. Commercial use or application To obtain warranty service contact Wells by writing Wells Sinkware Attn: Customer Service, PO Box , Chicago, IL 60616, or by calling from within US and Canada, from within Mexico. In the event of a warranty claim the original owner must provide proof of purchase. Wells will not be liable in case of: Improper installation Any modifications of the product as manufactured by Wells Sinkware Damage from dropped objects or heavy impact Improper care and maintenance Improper use of corrosive chemical such as photographic solutions, industrial acids etc. Commercial use or application Wells will repair, replace or make appropriate invoice adjustment where Wells' inspection discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within one (1) year after installation or use, which Wells in its sole discretion will determine, when this product is returned, prepaid, and insured, with proof of purchase date to Wells. 9 Mounting Style Options Product Index Wells sinks can meet a range of mounting needs. These fall into 4 specific categories as follows. In the case of undermount installation, Wells offers 3 options on the amount of reveal of the sink flange from the countertop cutout opening. Mounting Styles AC PR TM UM Above Counter Sink sits completely on top of the countertop. Partial Recess Sink sits partially recessed into the countertop. Topmount Sink drops into the opening with the flange mounted on top of the countertop. Undermount Sink sits underneath the countertop. Undermount Reveal Options Flush Mount The edge of the countertop cutout opening is aligned with the edge of the sink rim on all sides. Overhang The edge of the countertop cutout opening extends beyond the sink rim on all sides.
