2 PULSERONIC The Pulseronic is a unique, simple to install system which offers rapid trouble free discharge for difficult materials and accelerated discharge for normal materials (up to as much as a 60% increase). This is achieved with the aid of a wholly pneumatic pulsator and a special panel activator. The Pulseronic is a highly flexible system which can be installed into any size, shape and type of bulk storage vessel giving immediate results with even the most difficult of materials. The Pulseronic has proved itself in many different situations. The heart of the system is the patented pulsator which provides high energy rapid impulses of compressed air which are distributed via a panel activator. The activator is used to both inject the pulsating air into the material and to distribute pulse waves through the bulk storage. Additionally the distributed air sets up a slip surface over the activator cloth and vibrations in the air ensure that the particles are easily displaced. The combination of the pulsating air and a moving slip surface gives far reaching benefits over alternative systems and can be used to change hopper wall angle in order to give greatly increased storage capacity. Increased silo capacity through changes in wall angles. Vibrates the material not the silo. PATENTED The panel activator spreads air vibrations deep into the material. INSTALLATION EXAMPLES Automatic Control Unit type CA In general, the activation should start automatically when the discharge begins. Otherwise there is a risk of discharging material in such a way that the activating surfaces are uncovered, forming a bridge above them. In larger silos, arcs are sometimes formed at the angle between the vertical wall and the outlet funnel. This problem can often be solved by means of separate panel activators mounted at the upper edge of the conical part, as illustrated. Automatic Control Unit type CA In this flour silo with a horizontally mounted discharging screw at the bottom, four pairs of Panel Activators above the outlet are activated in four stages, one after the other with 0.15-sec. activating and 6-sec. idling period per working cycle, bringing the total air consumption down to only 50 litres/minute. This system can also be used in silos with little or no slope or flat bottoms, such as large concrete silos. The installation of the activator sections varies from one application to another. Sometimes, especially in smaller containers with difficult materials, it may be an advantage to have 3 4 very small Panel Activators operated by only one pulsator.

3 GRANULATOR MILL SIZE REDUCTION DE-AGGLUMORATION SCREENING The Granulator Mill is a self-contained unit, which can be used for high speed granulating, pulverising, mixing, shredding, chopping etc., of a wide range of wet or dry materials with no need for special attachments or modifications. The principal advantage of this mill - the very high production rates which can be achieved - is brought about mainly by its design, whereby a 360º screen allows the product particles to be expelled as soon as they reach the desired size. The effect is a much faster operation and a reduction in the proportion of fine particles that would otherwise result from overworking. This Mill is able to handle many materials, including those that are wet, sticky or heat sensitive, which other mills cannot process without clogging or damage to the product. 4 POWDER LIQUIDS Rospen designed and developed this rig to meter and mix powders and agglomerates with liquids, oils or creams in perfect weight proportion and meter the dispersion/suspension into a process. Typical uses include mixing water with lime powders for water treatment, mixing oils with flavourings for snack foods and mixing coatings for the pharmaceutical/chemical industries. Rigs can also be used to mix and hold particulates in suspension, eg. chopped nuts in a cream at 35ºc for confectionery. Components and Operation Powders are hand-tipped via a Rospen vented sack rip/tip cabinet into a buffer bin and liquids held in a header tank (heated if required). A Rospen controller holds the correct ratio of liquids/solids in memory; on demand, the liquid is weighed into the stirred weigh vessel. The correct percentage of powder is then weighed into the same vessel via a Rospen feeder and dispersed. The mixture is dropped on a low-level signal into the stirred (heated) buffer vessel and continuously and accurately fed into the process via a metering pump. Simultaneously, another pre-ratioed batch is prepared in the weigh hopper and fed into the buffer vessel on demand, maintaining a pre-set level of weighed and mixed product. The rig therefore operates as a continuous feeding system.
