It was defi nitely a tough year for everyone. Florida suffered through four hurricanes in six weeks, but we were alerted to these storms and took appropriate action. The people in southeast Asia were not so lucky. They were shocked and surprised by a terrible natural disaster, to unpredictable tsunami, all while they were enjoying their holiday and vacation. The Tsunami Disaster has been the center of world attention in the last few weeks. This calamity is very meaningful to me because I just visited Sri Lanka last November. I am concerned about my friend Jude, his family and all the people at the factory I visited. After calling Sri Lanka for 2-3 days, I was able to talk with Jude. He told me that he and his family northern side of Sri Lanka and were all safe because the tsumani hit the southern shores. I also received an back from the factory director: Dear Bob, Thanks for the concern expressed. We at TOYO factory and all staff members have been lackey and safe. However there are many relative and friends who have got effected. We are in the process of helping them to recover and rebuild their future. Your thoughts will be shared with them. Create a really great party with these really great nachos! INGREDIANTS 10 cups tortilla chips 2 pounds bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained 2 cans (4.5 ounces each) Old El Paso chopped green chiles, drained 4 teaspoons Old El Paso taco seasoning mix, from 1.25 ounce package 4 roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped (1 1/3 cups) 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup) 4 cups finely shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese (1 pound) TammyS's Recipes DIRECTIONS: 1. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Spray two 30x18-inch pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil with cooking spray. Spread tortilla chips on centers of foil pieces. Mix sausage, chilies and seasoning mix; spoon over tortilla chips. Top with tomatoes and onions. Sprinkle with cheese. 2. Wrap foil securely around tortilla chips. Cover and grill foil packets, seam sides up, 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted

But this month it s just appropriate to talk about chocolate! I did some investigating about chocolate and why it is so important to us. I m only going to mention the GOOD things, no point in worrying about the weight gain yet. We Americans love chocolate so much we each eat about 10 pounds per year. Chocolate has many chemicals in it, some of which can make you feel better if you ve got the blues. It can also relax the inner surface of blood vessels, helping prevent high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries. If you are lucky, someone will give you a box of chocolate for Valentine s Day. According to a study at Harvard University, consumption of three candy bars per month increases longevity. What!!
