Program could offer students the opportunity for fiedwork and more intensive study and activity. Farm to table / Plow to Porch Local organic/pesticide-free produce--delivery service to members of the community. Goal wold be to simplify the purchase of local frest organic produce and local food in order to encourage good nutrition, support local farmers, proteect the environment. (C.S.A) Community Shared Agriculture Organic Farm hosts a community shared agriculture participants in network of individuals who support local farms through a membership for a share of the anticipated harvest, receiving weekly shares of vegetagbles and fruit. Senior Residency Selected number of Senior reserachers (3-10 students). Deeper version of the Sustainable Living Center at Dartmouth. Designed to foster sustainable habits. An off-campus, nonexclusive, self-relient program designed to education students and community about sustainablity. The farm could also house students committed to participating in and devleoping events and ideas for the Off-Campus S.L.C. Business Incubator Program Program designed to support and assist start-up and emerging business. (could be recreation, river-based, etc) Young entrepreneurs can live on farm while Darmouth provides incubation support, access to equipment, flexible leases and space. 10-Week Live/Work Farm Program 10-week, Off Season, Live / Work Program designed to assist recent post-secondary graduates gain work experience in their field of study/research while living on the farm. (Intervale Model) A farm family who resides on the Organic Farm land, leases land, equipment, greenhouses, etc for a fixed number of years, contributing their labor with some Incubator Farm (Tenant Farm Family amount of capital and management. The program could help young farmers climb the agricultural ladder by removing start-up barriers and provide access to training, capital, Program) knowledge and business planning support. Creates opportunities for new farmers. Program designed to provide insight into what the Organic Farm is like. A shared dinner could be a forum in which participants engage with other students and faculty to expore the purpose and activities the farm has to offer. This could be year-round from Dartmouth program forcollege people looking for a solitary environment and taking inspiration from the natural world. This could include researchers, writers, artists, envirmental scientists, etc. Fullington Easement Plan Lecture Series Dinner Program Accommodates distingusished speakers at the farm. Lectures hosted by faculty and affiliated societies or university departments. Visiting Professor (in-residence) Program Grant-based program, limited number of awards each year. Provides opportunities for increasing general awareness in cutting-edge research (sustainability or other) within Dartmouth College. Promotes understanding and practice of land-based research and actviity, increases interest.
