3 Settings Different settings can be accessed inside the detector: ). OPENING DETECTOR 3). MOTION DETECTOR When installed on a door or window, this device will detect any attempts at intrusion (when the magnet is moved, this is detected) and transmits the information to the Thombox, which triggers the alarm. This detector detects the presence of a moving person in the room where it is installed, and transmits the information to the central unit which sounds an alert. Installation 66mm mm mm Choice of location For effective protection, follow the rules below when choosing where to place your indoor motion detector: - Do not place the detector opposite a window or a source of reflected light. - Do not place the detector opposite a source of hot or cold air (radiator, air vent, etc.). - If you are using several detectors to cover the same room, ensure that the beams do not cross. - Place your detector at right angles to the through route (and not in the direction of the through route) A- The detector is facing a mirror (which reflects the sun's rays) and a fireplace. The through route does not cross the beams at right angles. B - The beams are crossing and one detector is opposite a window. C - The door and the window are protected and the detector is installed so that the through route crosses the beams at right angles. D - The detector is installed so that the through route crosses the beams at right angles. bad good Installation with adjustable mount (included) You can affix the motion detector to a bracket for wall or ceiling mounting using a ball-joint mount in order to position the angle of detection. Wall mounting Ceiling mounting (&( OR - Switch : if it is lowered, this deactivates the LED on the front during a radio transmission to be more discreet. - Switch : if it is raised, detected movement triggers an alarm. If it is lowered, an alarm will only be triggered if 3 detections take place consecutively, in order to avoid false detections. - Switch 3: if it is raised, all radio transmissions are followed by a minute pause to conserve battery life. - Switch 4: sets the size of pets which are not to be detected by the product. Switch up: <5kg. Switch down: <5kg. - Adjustment dial: adjusts the detection range. Turn clockwise to increase the distance, and turn anti-clockwise to reduce the distance. The range can be set from around 30% to 00% of the maximum range. Wall mounting: Installation with or without adjustable mount A Installation without adjustable mount Wall mounting: C wall B.80m to.40m D 7mm mm max 5mm - Attach the magnet to the wall using double-sided tape or the screws provided. - Attach the magnet opposite the detector studs. ON.0m view in profile studs 3 4 ø8mm Corner mounting: m To activate the opening detector: - Access the accessory's battery compartment by removing the sensor's cover with a small flat screwdriver, which will serve as a lever. - Remove the tab which protects the detector's battery (if the tab has already been removed, remove the battery and put it back in place), the detector should emit a series of flashes. CTS floor m 7.5m 5m Area accessible to animals below the weight threshold (5kg or 5kg, see settings below) Zone forbidden to animals (will trigger an alarm).80m to.40m Note: the range and detection sensitivity can be configured: see the settings below Operation The sensor on the front can detect variations in infra-red rays: when a living being moves in front of the sensor, the motion is detected. - An animal moving along the ground will not cause motion to be detected, as long as its weight does not surpass the weight specified in the settings (5kg or 5kg) To activate the motion detector: - Access the accessory's battery compartment by unscrewing the screw located under the sensor, then remove the cover from your detector. - Remove the tab which protects the detector's battery (if the tab has already been removed, remove the battery and put it back in place), the detector should emit a series of flashes. floor - You may now place your accessory in its permanent position, put the cover back on your detector (make sure you hear the 'click' when you put the cover back on) and replace the screws. - You may now place your sensor in its permanent position, put the cover back on your detector and replace the screws. 3
