4 2 Visual Identity ManuaL INTRODUCTION The Unisafe Visual Identity Manual has been created to provide all stakeholders with a clear, concise guideline to the broad range of visual and textual elements that define the brand. These standards focus on providing clear directions for developing and designing communication to ensure their complete alignment with the Unisafe Strategy. Their aim is to ensure that our creative efforts are aligned within a consistent framework, one which follows a consistent tone of voice and visual identity, that promotes the image of the organisation that we want to project. The effective use of these guidelines is essential for the maximum impact and recognition of the Unisafe brand. It is essential that all management and staff at Unisafe, especially those involved in any form of communication and marketing activities familiarize themselves with these guidelines as their proper use is mandatory.

5 Visual Identity ManuaL 3 MASTER LOGO Overview The Unisafe logo has been carefully designed to preserve its integrity and impact. It should never be modified and should always be reproduced from the original artwork provided by the Marketing & Communications Department. The Unisafe logo is a composite unit with the following distinct elements - UNISAFE typeface, flame symbol and the brandline. Philosophy The Unisafe logo represents the philosophy of the brand. The blue & orange colours signify water and fire respectively. The symbol uses two flames - the large blue flame overpowers the smaller orange flame, symbolosing the campany s capabilities in offering world class fire protection services. The symbol being entrenched within the brand name further stresses on Unisafe s efficiency and total operational control in all its service offerings.

6 4 Visual Identity ManuaL LOGO ANATOMY 0.6 X 0.6 X X X 0.6 X 0.6 X Y Y Logo Proportions The Unisafe logo is a composite unit and all its elements share a defined relationship with each other. The sizes and proportions of the elements are as shown in the above drawing. These proportions should not be modified under any circumstances and the image must always be used from the digital artwork provided. Logo Colours The Unisafe logo is a two colour unit: Pantone Process Blue C Pantone Orange 021 C No other colours can be used for the logo except the variations mentioned on the next page Minimum Size The Unisafe logo must never be reduced to less than 1.25 cms in height. This is the minimum required size for the Logo to maintain readability, visibility and clarity.

7 Visual Identity ManuaL 5 EXCLUSION ZONE The Clear Area A Clear Area or Exclusion Zone has been defined to protect the visibility of the Unisafe Logo and to ensure its prominence and clarity. The minimum clear area MUST surround the Logo at all times and across all applications. The Clear Area distance defined is equal to the height of the smaller (orange) flame in the logo symbol It is essential that the Unisafe Logo remains free of all graphics, copy, identities, photography and typography.

8 6 Visual Identity ManuaL VARIATIONS Single Colour Black Version Reverse Logo - to be used on dark backgrounds Web Version. A web version of the Unisafe logo has been created with gradient colours to take advantage of the bright screen displays.

To ensure an unmistakable corporate image, a specific color palette is defined along with the Logo. Blue combined with Orange - these are the primary colors that form the basic image of the Unisafe Logo. Blue is the dominant colour accompanied by Orange as the accent colour. All color printed branded materials should use the colors shown above for headlines, subheads and backgrounds whenever possible. Black and a 70% tint of Black are also used for Typography.
