Submit properly identified manufacturer's specifications and installation instructions for review before starting work. B. Submit shop drawings for fabrication, erection, and anchorages. C. ANSI/ASME A 17.1, Part XX, Section 2000 (for vertical wheelchair lifts). b. ANSI/ASME A 17.1, Part XX, Section 2001 (for inclined wheel chair lifts). c. ANSI/ASME A 17.1, Part XX, Section 2002 (for inclined stairway lifts). A. Warranty: Provide 1 year limited warranty on the basic unit and electrical systems and 2 year warranty on drive train components. B. Portable Wheelchair Lift: Provide manufacturer's 1 year warranty for parts and 90 day labor limited warranty. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 MANUFACTURER A. Portable Wheelchair Lift: 1. Model SLA-2050 by Ascension, L.C., Tucson, AZ. or accepted equivalent determined by the Board. B. Vertical Platform Lifts: 1. TG Model with toe guard by Access Industries, Grandview, Missouri. 2. VPL Series 2000 "TG" with toe guard, by Cheney, New Berlin, Wisconsin. 3. Model CDE by National Wheel-O-Vator, Roanoke, IL. 4. Model V1504-TL by Savaria, Laval, Quebec. C. Inclined Platform Lift: 1. 3 A. Portable Wheelchair Lift Requirements: 1. Lifting Capacity: 650 pounds. 2. Vertical Speed: 5 feet per minute. 3. Self-contained accessible ramp with non-slip surface. 4. Self-contained retractable or locking wheels. 5. Platform: a. 30 by 48 inches clear minimum with non-slip surface. b. 42 inch high, 1-1/2" diameter guardrails at gates and side panels. c. Clear plexiglass panels. 6. Control Switches: b. Key accessed, constant pressure at platform. c. Functions: Call/send, up/down, emergency stop with audible alarm and reset. 7. Tamperproof electro-mechanical door interlocks to: a. Prevent platform movement from landing unless gates are closed and locked. b. Prevent gate opening unless the platform is in the appropriate position. 8. Obstruction sensors at underside of platform. 9. Manual lowering capability, if loss of power. 10. Automatic dock plate to span potential gap between platform and upper landing. 11. Concealed lift mechanism. 12. Finish: Oven baked powder coating. 13. Electrical Requirements: a. 120 VA, 60 hertz, single phase, 10 amp service. b. UL listed. B. Vertical Platform Wheelchair Lift Requirements: 1. Static load rating: 500 percent. 2. Speed: 9.6 to 12.0 feet per minute. 3. Drive: According to manufacturer's design. 4. Stop: Positive and accurate with no coasting once control button is released. 5. Limit switches: a. 4 b. Final limit switch to cut power to unit. 6. Platform: a. 30 inches by 48 inches clear minimum. b. 42 inch high guard rails on non-enter/exit sides. c. Platform and ramp shall have non-skid surfaces. 7. Control Switches: b. Key accessed, constant pressure at platform. c. Functions: Call/send, up/down, emergency stop with audible alarm, and reset. 8. Finish: Electrostatic powder coat finish and with weatherproof components. 9. Door Lock: Tamperproof electro-mechanical interlock to: a. Prevent platform movement from landing unless gates or doors are closed and locked. b. Prevent gates or doors from opening unless the platform is in the appropriate position. 10. Provide UL listing. C. Inclined Wheelchair Lift Requirements: 1. Static Load Rating: 500 percent. 2. Power Fold: Folding of the platform when not in use or when traveling to a called station. 3. Platform Size: 30 inches by 48 inches clear minimum. 4. Access Ramps: Automatic operation at appropriate level. 5. Speed: 15 to 20 fpm. 6. Fold down passenger seat. 7. Manual or power assisted safety arms. 8. Obstruction sensors at leading edges and platform underside. 9. Controls: b. Key accessed and wired remote, both with constant pressure at platform. c. Functions: Call/send, up/down, emergency stop, reset, and power fold. 10. Finish: Electrostatic powder coat and with weatherproof components. 11. Provide UL listing. 5 12. Provide visual and audible signals during operation according to SREF. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 INSTALLATION A. Install wheelchair lift according to manufacturer's recommendations, accepted shop drawings and the requirements of this section. B. Provide emergency power and manual operation FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Comply with Florida Statutes, Chapter 399, when applicable, before substantial completion DEMONSTRATION A. Train designated the Board's personnel to move inclined lift out of the stair or lower platform lift to lower level if power is interrupted. B.
