3 Feature 01 All-Weather Operation Wind load calculations have indicated the inherent stability of our proposed guidance and restraint for the Lid and Truck Lift Platform allows our design to be safely used in all weather conditions. Lid sealing The perimeter seal we propose is a heated combined water and airtight solution. The stainless steel drainage cavity is protected by a structural channel detailed to provide a simple closing junction to protect the pavement finishes. 4 Feature 02 Lid Design The design load for lid and cabin advised on TP7450 are 42 ton Truck (+/-10%) + 5,500 kg fork lift truck. For certification purposes we can only design for worst case therefore the design load is 51,700 kg (rounded up to 52,000 kg). Allowing for 75mm Granite on a 25mm bed and to satisfy the factors in BS5950 the calculated mass of the lid is 67,000 kg. 5 Feature 03 Independent Cabin & Lid Operation Actuating the lid independently provided a quicker installation time and allows a safer and simpler inspection and maintenance of the perimeter seals and drainage. Independent operation of the Lid provides a substantial saving in mains when the truck lift is operated between level Basement Level 03 and Level 00.
