3 Childrens Bespoke A good way of involving the local community and in particular school children, is to hold a competition to design the best Christmas lighting display. These generally lend themselves to being mounted onto a street lighting column. LITE can advise on maximum sizes and wind loadings that are generally deemed acceptable. This competition element can create a great deal of interest and discussion around the whole of the forthcoming Christmas festival. LITE have been involved with numerous competitions along these lines over the years and we enjoy the challenge of creating something new and bespoke for the town. Some examples of initial designs created by children, which were then interpreted by our in house Design team and then finally manufactured by our factory. These types of bespoke displays can be manufactured in the Spring or Summer months but cannot be left until Autumn when our factories are fully committed with other projects. 6 Cross Street Bespoke It s always pleasing to see a new design with a bespoke message or welcome display when entering a town or city. Often these are best laid out in the form and layout of a cross street or horizontal wall display, enabling text to be incorporated into the design. LITE are able to advise on the size and quantity of text suitable for specific sized displays and their associated wind loadings. 7 Whole Town Schemes Bespoke Once in a while a town or city deems it time for a complete change of their Festive Lighting scheme. It s always great to receive a call like that! LITE have the expertise to advise on the sizes and designs for main 3 dimensional features which will provide the wow factor, as well as implementing an all encompassing theme to run throughout the scheme. The scheme below was named Stockton Land of the Giants at initial concept stage, due to it reportedly having the widest High Street in the UK. After a competitive tendering procedure, LITE were commissioned to design and build 3D sculptures and displays to suit this theme, which involved some of the impressive designs featured

12 Stockton Lighting and Illumination Technology Experience Limited In 2014 Stockton Borough Council set out a vision to provide a festive lighting scheme based on giant features within the landscape... LITE provided the relevant expertise and track record to articulate this vision and fabricate the bespoke features as part of the towns four week Stockton Sparkles festival. LITE s communication is excellent and the project was delivered on time and to a high standard despite having to work to quite a tight deadline. LITE provided visualisations to help with the approval process and provided assistance on site throughout the installation period. Since the new scheme was launched back 2014, the new festive lights have been well received by the general public with thousands of people attending the launch event each year in what has become one of the region s biggest Christmas lights switch-ons.
