1 INTRODUCTION FULLY INSULATED COMPOSITE STEEL FIRE DOORS Product Data Sheet No 1 Navfair International Introduces fully insulated composite Steel Fire Doors A most economical, effective and well recognized devise by Fire Authorities for its efficacy to compartmentalize/localize the potential fire threats. Today, Navfair s Steel Fire Door have established acceptance in High-rise buildings, Commercial buildings, Cinema halls, Auditoriums, and various Industries including Refineries, Steel Plants, Aluminium Plants, Nuclear Power Stations, Fertilizer Units, Cotton Mills etc. Spread throughout the country as the same meet with the statutory requirements i.e. all the three criterion of Stability, Integrity and Thermal Insulation. Navfair s Steel Fire Doors are sleek and decorative in appearance and also meet the superb acoustic and noise reduction properties. RANGE 2 hour rated 48mm thick Door In hinged type configuration only. 2 hour rated 65mm thick Door In hinged type configuration only. 65mm thick Door In Manual/Automatic Sliding Configuration. 3 hour rated 75mm thick Door In hinged type configuration only. 4 hour rated- As per TAC directives, two fire proof doors of 2 hours rated on each face of the wall opening have to be fixed to achieve 4 hour rating. Available in hinged type and sliding type CERTIFICATION These fire doors have been repeatedly and extensively tested and certified at the Fire Research Laboratory of CBRI, Roorkee to the relevant National and International specifications namely IS 3614 Part I & II, BS- 476 Part 20 & 22, IS: 3809,NFPA-252 etc.

2 Product Data Sheet No 2 GENERAL CONSTURCTION / SURFACE FINISH Steel Fire Doors normally comprise of fully insulated steel frames and shutter faced with two CR/GI sheets of 1.25mm (18 swg) with infill of asbestos free non combustible our own proprietary insulation materials. Detailed specification available on request. These fire doors can be finished with fire retardant paint/duco Paint/Polyurethane paint to provide aesthetic finish as per the site requirement. However, we recommend the use of LEXUS FR-880 primer and LEXUS FRS 881 finish fire retardant paint with excellent decorative finish on our doors to make the exterior surface to the fire door fire retardant. HARDWARES NAVFAIR s fire doors are manufactured to accommodate panic hardwares and other hard ware as listed below- PANIC EXIT DEVICE: (IMPORTED & UL LISTED) These are normally installed on fire doors in fire exit locations and are operated by horizontal push bar which when pushed in a downward arc withdraws bolts/ latch, releasing the door for immediate escape to personnel trapped inside in an event of emergency. Panic exit device can be operated from outside by lock and key arrangements only, thus serves as anti theft device and also prevents unauthorized entry. Panic exit devices are available for both Single Leaf as well as Double Leaf shutters. CONCEALED DOOR CLOSER (FIRE RATED) 18mm thick barrel type door closer are inserted in the door to provide reliable/ maintenance free and theft resistant option of self closing on fire door with life time guarantee. HEAVY DUTY HYDRAULIC DOR CLOSER DOOR COORDINATORS Reputed brands/isi marked door closers available. It is necessary that rebated type door leaves of double leaf doors close in proper sequence. STAINLESS STEEL BALL BEARING HINGES Fire Doors are critical equipment in a building and use of S.S. Ball Bearing hinges improves function, reliability and aesthetic look of doors.

3 Product Data Sheet No 3 GLAZING/VISION PANEL Fire rated vision panels are generally required to be provided on fire doors. Following options available a) LEXUS SEAL system LEXUS Seal ultra thin fire proof clear vision panel which can withstand temperature to a limit of 1800 Deg.C is sandwitched between 2 Nos 4mm thick plain glass. This system is tested at CBRI, Roorkee for more than 3 hour fire rating. Size limitation 300mm in width, 350mm in height and 100 cm.sq. in area. b) Clear wired glass Pyroshield or other equivalent imported fire rated (upto 2hrs) glass 6mm thick can be used for vision panel/glazing. No size limitation. c) Clear glass Glaverbel or other clear imported fire rated glass available. IN-HOUSE TESTING NAVFAIR s R&D Laboratory, which is certified by Department of Industries, Haryana has full fledged testing facility available, where a full size specimen of the Fire Door can be tested to the relevant National and International specifications. A No. of Government Semi-Government and prestigious private organization like DMRC, HWPK, CPWD, PWD, IOCL, NDMC etc. have drawn sample door from the lot supplied to them and have got the same tested at our works in presence of their representative. The tests are witnessed and certified by Department of Industries, Haryana. THE PRODUCT RANGE The Company owns the famous brand name LEXUS under which, it manufactures to British & American Standards & supplies Flame Proof Coatings for protection against fire to Power & Control Cables, Structural Steel, Fabrics, Canvas, Hessian, Flame Proof Enamel Paint, Flame Proof Antibacterial Paints etc. The Company also manufactures Fire Proof Doors-Wooden & Steel for 0.5, 1, 2, 3 & 4 Hours rating to International Standards. The Company also manufacuters to F.A.A. (Federal Aviation Authority of America) standards & supplies on turnkey basis, wide range of specialised high & medium intensity Runway Edge Lights. The Company has installed over 143 specialised Landing Aid Systems, that help aircraft land in poor visibility conditions, at National & International Airports at Delhi, Calcutta, Chennai, Mumbai, Trivandurm, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Trichy, Tirupathi & several other airports. In fact, there is hardly any major project in India, where one or more of Navfair s products are not used.

Product Data Sheet No 4 The Company also manufactures LEXUS Flame Proof Enamel & Wide range of decorative paints, that are now retailed through extensive dealer network throughout the country, in addition to unique polymerised marble Marblo a new wall décor that gives walls the identity of marble, with all its glory and beauty, and is lifelong. The Company has pioneered yet another product i.e. Bullet Proof Jackets. The product has already undergone successful ballistic tests with Ministry of Defence. STEEL FIRE DOORS UNDERSTANDING THE FIRE PROOF DOOR FIRE PROOF DOORS are critically important for Compartmentation, as in actual Fire Conditions, these are required to satisfy three important criterions of stability, Integrity and Insulation as stipulated in BS: 476 Part-22 & IS:3614 Part-II. STABILITY & INTERGRITY The Fire Proof Door shall neither collapse nor will allow the passage of flame/smoke during the entire rated period of fire under specified fire conditions. INSULATION Mean temperature on non fire side shall not exceed C. above ambient temperature to ensure quick escape of personnel and to avoid combustion hazards to flammable goods lying on the non fire side. Steel Fire Proof available on the country until now are generally based on existing design published in T.A.C. manuals, and are made up of thick steel plates which become red-hot when subjected to fire conditions, thus failing to meet Insulation Criteria. T.A.C. may accord approval to any manufacturer who would fabricate Steel Fire Door to their design, without any actual fire test, not withstanding the Insulation Criteria. T.A.C. regulations, however, insist upon Fully Insulated Fire Proof Doors for several specified locations. Regd.
