3 Mist-Tech Fire Fighting Equipment Mist-Tech products from Angloco provide optimum firefighting performance using the latest advances of water mist technology. High quality mist is produced by the unique designs and technology of the branches and lances and not simply by forcing high pressure water through a very small hole. Instead Mist-Tech products use water collision technology that provides a more consistent droplet size and higher efficiency mist, without the inherent problems and risks associated with ultra-high pressure systems. More of the water turns to steam, there is less entrained air and the user has greater thermal protection. Our range of lances and branches has now been complemented by a chimney lance and a new range of vehicle Misting /CAFS systems and trolleys. UK brigades and training centres have now tested Mist-Tech products and have achieved fantastic results. Many also now question the bulk and expense of a dedicated cutting or grit extinguisher when use a normal drill or other tool allows a hole through the window frame, door or letter box to give greater cooling effect with even less water and lower hazards. This new range of Misting /CAFS Fire Fighting Equipment can operate as a misting system only producing high efficiency water mist or switched over to foam, if required, produces CAFS. The foam is not pre-mixed so will stay ready for use without degrading for many months and is therefore suitable for use with fully biodegradable foams. However, many have found in the majority of tests that the mist will work very well alone, even on smaller class B fires without any foam or additives being used. We are also happy to say that after extensive trials some Uk Fire & Rescue Services have purchased the QR range of lances and knock through lances to go directly onto their normal appliances. 4 Angloco Mist Jet Branch A408 & High Flow A409 The New A408 and the high flow A409 standard branches will give you 61 litres of mist and 90 litres of mist respectively at 25 bar. Lots of uniformed micro droplets that very effectively take the heat out of a fire and keep the fire fighter cool behind a wide 11 metre stream of mist. In tests the A408 extinguished and cooled a fully involved car fire with only 60 litres of water. It extinguished an 80 litre fuel tray with temperatures measured at 700 plus degrees with 40 litres of water and no foam. 6 Angloco Mist/Jet Branch - Quick Release (QR) A406/A407 This new range of Quick Release mist/jet branches have a removable end which allows you to swap between the misting branch, a misting lance or a chimney lance. They have an options of a standard 61 Lpm or high flow 140 Lpm (at 25 bar) All our branches and lances can be fitted direct to a standard appliance without the need of any modification the branches looks & feels like a standard branch. 9 Angloco Mist-Tech CAFS Systems Trolley and Vehicle mounted. The CAFS systems we produce have been designed for extinguishing all types of fires while only using small quantities of water or foam. This new range of Misting /CAFS Fire Fighting Equipment can operate as a misting system only producing high efficiency water mist or switched over to foam, if required, produces CAFS. 13 Angloco Misting Equipment & Accessories. All the Angloco misting Equipment uses our patented collision drop technology giving uniformed droplets & lots of them at safe pressures. The Angloco QR (quick release) branch has a range of accessories that enhance its operational use. The new chimney lance model is B301 can be used with your standard chimney rods that you currently have on the run. It has a 10 metre hose and quick release QR coupling. If you do not have a QR Branch it can still be used on your high pressure hose hose line. The QR coupling can be swapped to a ¼ turn McDonald type coupling. The lance is also available with standard rubber covered hose or as shown below a braided hose. The flow rate through the chimney nozzle is 68 Lpm measured at 25 bar. The Lance that fits to the QR Branch has 2 options: normal flow 68 Lpm and high flow 89 Lpm measured at 25 bar. If you do not have a QR branch you can still use the B104 or B106 Piercing lance which attaches directly to you high pressure side line. This has 2 flow options, 68 or 89 Lpm at 25 bar.
