17 Network Termination Device (NTD) UNI-V (Voice) Port x 2 UNI-D (Data) Port x 4 Power Connection Fibre Input Port The NTD is a boundary point for the fibre network and allows the user network interface (UNI) to connect to the customer wiring. It is roughly the same size as a DSL modem. There are 2 x RJ 11 ports known as UNI V ports, they will not be used in the Armidale FRS. There are 4 x RJ 45 ports known as UNI D ports; up to 4 ports/rsps will be used in the Armidale FRS. They are not common; each port is an individual terminating point for an RSP/service. The power port will accept the connecter from the PSU. The fibre input port accepts the fly lead from the FWO; this has a secure cover to prevent accidental disconnectionor or tampering with live fibrecable /11/2011 NBN Co Ltd 2011
