Chiltern test reports RF11059, RF11061 and Chiltern assessments ChiltA11129, ChiltA11130 refer. Where smoke seals are incorporated into the Acrovyn Edge Protectors in order for the door assemblies to provide cold smoke control, the smoke seal elements have been independently tested to BS 476 Part 31.1 and have achieved leakage rates not exceeding 3m³/m/hr when tested at 25 Pa. CS Acrovyn Edge Protectors are not designed or intended to upgrade non fire rated door assemblies to fire resisting assemblies but are designed and tested for use with fire door assemblies of proven fire resistance to current BS and EN test methods. The buyer takes responsibility for determining suitability and compliance with relevant mandatory requirements. recommend that where any doubt exists, expert opinion is sought.

4 Latches and Locks Door Edge Gaps Head Seals 1 x C/S Intumescent seal and 1 x C/S Intumescent & Smoke seal must be fitted 5mm each side of the centreline within frame reveal. Fixings Door Frame Protection Door frames may have the jambs partially or fully clad with 2mm thick Acrovyn which must be bonded to the frame using 3M Scotch/grip cement 10 contact adhesive, or equivalent. Frame Seals 1 x C/S Intumescent seal and 1 x C/S Intumescent & Smoke seal must be fitted 5mm each side of the centreline within frame reveal. Door Leaf Construction Graduated density or laminated particleboard, Laminated softwood or hardwood strip core with timber based facings, Timber based stiles and rails with flaxboard or particleboard cores and timber based facings. Timber based stiles and rails with timber, flaxboard or particleboard cores, non-combustible sub-facings and timber based external facings Glazing within constructions is permitted.
