Shop Drawings: Submit plans, elevations and details indicating details of assembly, shelving locations and methods of attachment. B. Product Data: Manufacturer's data for special construction and non-standard shelving required. C. Material Samples: Submit Samples of finished metal. 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Qualifications of Installer: Shelving shall be installed by a firm having at least 5 years experience in installations of comparable scope and complexity. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1 SHELVING SYSTEMS 1. 2 minimum dry film thickness. Finish coat shall be smooth, free of streaks, drops, sags, pinholes, checks, cracks, peeling, blisters, and foreign material. b. Depth: Height: 84 PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1 ERECTION 9. Shelf Decking: Wire with min 500lb weight capacity 10. Number of Shelves per Section Width: Two 11. Exposed faces of shelves shall be furnished with continuous label holders, 7/8 inch minimum in height and fabricated from 24 gage steel. Fasten to shelf with 3 bolts. A. Steel shelving shall be installed plumb and level. Install over zinc-plated floor plate, 13 gage minimum, installed under upright posts. B. Anchoring: Steel shelving shall be fastened to walls. 1. Walls: Fasten shelving to walls through rear shelf flange at each end and alternate section, at top shelf and at second shelf from bottom. Omit floor anchoring. 2. Fasteners: 3.2 ADJUSTING a. Concrete: 5/16 inch diameter, 1-1/2 inches minimum penetration, and self-drilling concrete anchors. b. Wood: 1/4 inch minimum diameter plated lag screw with 1-1/2 inches minimum penetration into wood. A. Install and securely tighten fasteners. 3.3 CLEANUP A. Changes and Additions to the Drawings: 1. Sheet E0.0 ELECTRICAL LEGEND AND NOTES a. Add the following to the Fire Alarm System Notes: 26. Fire alarm systems shall be installed per the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Fire Protection Engineering for Facilities Change 3, March 1, Per UFC Section Sleeping Rooms and Duty Rooms shall have 24 Vdc photoelectric analog/addressable smoke detectors installed in all barracks, dormitories, lodges, temporary or transient living facilities sleeping rooms and entry/common area to bedrooms, and duty rooms located in business or other occupancies. 28. Smoke detectors in sleeping rooms must cause the sounder base to activate for all smoke detectors in that suite and an alarm signal to activate at the FACP, but must not activate the building s evacuation alarm. 2. Sheet E2.7 - FIRST FLOOR FIRE ALARM & MECHANICAL PLAN a. Storage Room 141 Add a pull station at the inside of the exterior door exiting the room. b. Add (1) system smoke detector to the following rooms: 143, 144, 145, 147. c. Add (2) system smoke detectors to the following rooms: 141. d. In all typical dorm/sleeping rooms, the new 120 volt duct detector shall e. All fire alarm devices shown on this sheet shall be system devices. Wire 3. Sheet E2.8 - SECOND FLOOR FIRE ALARM & MECHANICAL PLAN a. Add (1) system smoke detector to the following rooms: 243, 252, 253, 255, 256. b. In Dorm Rooms 233 and 234 Add a system smoke detector and fire alarm system room speaker in each sleeping room.
