3 Copact easuring and control unit With a scattered light cell, an optiized therocyclone for evaporating wet gases, an effective ejector for saple gas feeding and a cofortable control unit. A partial gas flow is exhausted out of the gas duct via a saple gas probe and heated up in a therocyclone, so that water drops and aerosols vaporize. Afterwards the saple gas is fed in a easureent cell in which a laser bea illuinates the particles contained in the gas and thus generates scattered light. A sensitive receiver easures this scattered light extreely accurately. The scattered light intensity easured in this way is the basis for deterining the dust concentration.
