Greenhouse Show movable metal shelving and worktables around perimeter and in center of room; this furniture will be NIC and purchased by THJS. A stainless steel work sink and counter will be provided, as well as a central floor drain. Infrastructure for a future misting system will be provided. Classrooms (English, Social Studies, Math, Foreign Lang) The following standards will be applied to all instructional spaces for continuity: o TJHS requested that the paired classroom entrances be staggered in the corridors to increase ability to supervise the corridors from less control points. o TJHS prefers double-tier 18 W x 3 H lockers in corridors. o Classroom doors will be solid with glass sidelights. Additional windows may be located above head height to allow for borrowed light fron classrooms to enter the corridors without sacrificing safety. o The low shelving along the window wall in the classroom will include a combination of open shelving and lockable cabinet doors. o TJHS is currently utilizing wall-mounted short throw projectors in many classrooms, with more installations scheduled in the existing building. TJHS prefers mobile interactive whiteboards for the new building to allow for maximum flexibility and multiple classroom configurations. o Provide power and data at 3 corners of classroom (not required at corner near door) to support multiple teaching desk and interactive white board locations. o Lighting dual switching (potentially dimmable with LED) o Provide parking space for one mobile laptop/tablet cart in each classroom o Provide multiple charging locations for devices at bookshelf counter along window wall. Investigate 5V USB receptacles for charging of personal devices. Typical classroom furniture shown will be based on Steelcase Verb tables and Node chairs to illustrate multiple teaching and learning environments.
