3 Training July 2004 July 2002 January April August 2000 May 1999 Training course in mass production of entomopathogenic nematodes using the in vivo and in vitro methods, at Department of Entomology, Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. Training course in Using entomopathogenic nematodes as biocontrol agents against both Egyptian and American insect pests at Department of Entomology, University of California, Davis, USA. Short scholarship supported by UNISCO in biotechnology at Department of Entomology, Rutgers University, USA. Pass successfully an intensive course in "Identification of Entomopathogenic Nematodes" at Entomology and Nematology Department, University of Florida & Institute of Food and Agricultural Scinces, USA. Training course in Genetics improvement of entomopathogenic nematodes at Department of Entomology, Rutgers University, USA. Research Interests - Integrated Pest Management (IPM) using Biological Control agents against insect pests, especially the use of entomoparasitic in the biocontrol of agricultural pests. - Since 1994, I have been worked in several projects dealing with the field application of Integrated Pest Management techniques to control several insect pests of fruit trees and vegetables including the leopard moth, the red palm weevil and scarabaeid beetles affecting a wide variety of fruit trees and vegetables in Egypt including Date Palm, Apple, Pear, Olive trees and strawberries. - The application of genetic engineering and scanning electron microscope to identify entomoparasitic. - In Vivo and In Vitro mass culture and field utilization of both entomopathogenic nematodes and Fungi against insect pests. 3
