8 Habitat Criterion Definition The Habitat Criterion addresses how landscapes created, removed, or enhanced through the SSIP affect sensitive species, habitats, or overall native biodiversity in the city. Aligned with city policy objectives: Enhance the biodiversity, natural habitats, and ecological integrity of open space - General Plan Recreation and Open Space Element Objective 4 Establish a citywide network of habitat patches and corridors - San Francisco Planning Department Green Connections Initiative Draft Objectives Become an environmental leader (reference to habitat and biodiversity among other environmental themes) - SFPUC Sustainability Plan
