Focus on one of the books associated with the topic. Read the whole book cover to cover. Prepare a presentation on the ideas that you found interesting and useful in thinking about Miami. Present to the class on the day scheduled for discussion of your topic. Outline is due the week before presentation and I will meet with you to discuss. Part 2: Starting with the ideas that you learned from the book, make a specific proposal for making Miami a more sustainable city. The proposal might be something architectural such as street design, or it could be a policy idea or an event. Think expansively about the ideas and the possibilities for the city. Present this proposal to the class for discussion according to a schedule that we will develop. Final writeup of proposal is due at the end of the term Topics and Readings
