10 PROJECT SITES / NORTHERN LIGHTS ZONE

11 SCULPTURE 1: CONFLUENCE Inspired by the confluence of the Red River and Red Lake River. Dichroic glass apertures evoke the flow of the rivers. Placement of towers guarantees a dynamic, multifaceted experience for viewers, from all perspectives. Dichroic glass is light sensitive, highly reflective and multicolored, providing a constantly shifting dynamic display of color. A commanding and iconic gateway installation. Easily visible throughout the 42nd Street and Demers Avenue intersection, and from I-29. Fabricated with stainless steel and dichroic glass. Dimensions of 22 H x 10 W x 6 D

16 SCULPTURE 2: INSIDE OUT Inside Out is an illusory space that diverts the viewers attention from the urban architectural interruptions of Grand Forks by drawing ones focus to the sky. It is a simple concept and in part is influenced in form from my experiences of being at the historic monument of Stonehenge, the ancient stone circle on Salisbury Plain, 20 miles from my home in England. A place where historically people met to celebrate midsummers, to share stories and to trade. Inside Out is an amalgam of Light, language, sky, wind, words and poetry. A sculpture composed of a 1000 words.
