3 A B O U T Rice Village District's history begins in the 1930s Depression Era when visionary John Olson acquired 60 vacant lots. Since then, it has grown organically to become the most beloved urban district in Houston. Undergoing a contemporary and artisan evolution, this vibrant 16-block, 67-acre urban district, including more than 300 shops and restaurants, is primed for the next generation of aspirational retailers. Nestled in the heart of Houston, Rice Village and Trademark are stewards of the largest property portfolio in the village, encompassing 296k sq. ft. of retail buildings and land for additional mixed-use development. 3

8 P R I M A R Y TRADE AREA The Rice Village trade area is highly educated, aspirational and underserved, with many consumers wanting the best products and experiences they can afford. The surrounding neighborhoods are some of the wealthiest in the nation, with the immediate area's zip code ranking 19 th on Property Shark's 2018 "America's Wealthiest Zip Codes" list. This is a strong market for apparel/accessories, electronics, health/fitness, entertainment and products that appeal to young, active households. 8

11 Rice Village is expected to be the only authentic street shopping district in Houston, with the critical mass to attract a rich collection of best-in-class national, regional and local retailers and artisan food and beverage retailers. 11
